United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Fucking hell... frying pan and fire. Vinny isn't good enough. Ignore Bayern, look at Burnley.
Kompany or Enrique are the only decent choices. Enrique is leaving PSG this Summer, if a rumour about Pep leaving this Summer as well is true, we're most likely going to have him as his successor.

I'm going to struggle to ever watch any highlights of that game again. Tough

Well i simply WON'T be watching those highlights ever again ...... as far as I'm concerned today's derby match is history now, and thats exactly where I'm gonna leave it ... in the past !

There was nothing that City did today that I'd ever want to see again anyway.

I will just focus on this week's trip to Bodo ... and the Wolves match, which I now see as 'must win'.

The rebuild doesn't happen overnight ? Also, building that winning mentality takes time as well
What was the record today, unbeaten in 11 or something, so it progresses

The squad is still not right and 4 or 5 places are up for grabs ? 4 keepers is wrong, Phillips hanging around Stones never fit enough, Ake can not play 3 games a week. Grealish out on loan

This summer is the most important period for Pep and City, they must clear the deadwood and get the 2 keepers and release Stones Ake and sell Phillips, Grealish. and a couple more Like Bobb and Lewis
Unbeaten in 13 (all comps) before today

Arsenal can defend Sunday league hoof ball better than us
Arsenal play with pace, strength and a decent level of skill. Most of their opponents play with pace and strength but with less skill. That skill gap is the reason Arsenal are top of the Prem.
We are still wedded to tactics based primarily on skill, which is great when it works but rather unsettling when we get clogged out of games or when the radar of individual players is slightly off. And those tactics just become impossible when the difference in pace is unsurmountable.

They have been our best players, because Pep and the team have coached them. It’s not an accident

No other manager in the league could get Nunes anywhere near being a serviceable right back. Certainly not Maresca or any of these mid managers that have been linked
Perhaps they'd have just bought an actual right back in the first place.

Wow, love to know what your on…
Too long in the tooth to be too depressed about it. Got 3 books from the library beforehand (helps with sleeping before bed) & went & swam 40 lengths after the game and before posting that. Dont get me wrong i hate losing but i cant handle being too down for too long so i have to get over it & look forwards. As it turns out Arse drew so coulda been much worse. Man Yoo may beat Arsenil in 2 weeks & they play Chelsea too quite soon. Lets see what happens after the Anfield game football is a funny old game. Up the blues...keep the faith.

So who are we more likely matched to, Bayern or Burnley? Even Pep wouldn’t have kept Burnley up.

Kompany is learning and with his passion and love of city, in my opinion, I think he would be ideal candidate.

Imagine Zab as his number two. Certainly wouldn’t lose through lack of trying, unlike today…

but there is a lot of none city fans on here who pop up Everytime we have bad result!

Lol, I'm afraid you're always gonna get that ..... some people will always enjoy rubbing salt in the wound, and 'jumping on the back' of any City defeat is an ideal time for them to do it !

Bayern play very attractive football. I've seen them once but am happy to stand by the opinion....they were good to watch today.

Not for me, sorry mate.

Ex-players tend not to make good managers, usually due to weight of fans' expectations.

More chance of Arteta being a success at City than Kompany.
