United (a) post-match thread

Seen it dozens of times and still can't say for sure. Definitely not a free kick. Not even close and to make it worse we were breaking for a counter attack when he pulled it back.
Exactly. Got the impression ref blew his whistle for the foul because we were breaking dangerously.
Once the linesman had raised his flag VAR was not clear and obvious so no overturn. But that shows how the officials can influence the game. Don't blow if Salah is where Kun was then use VAR, goal stands.

Watched you and again, defensive Hari Kari coupled with at the other end looking like you could hit a stationary donkey on the arse with a banjo, not a good day.

You had nearly double the possession, but did fuck all with it. Utd are shit, so that makes it even worse. Action is required immediately, or you can kiss bye bye to next year too. The defence needs sorted, it's been your Achilles heel too often in big games.

Sadly have to agree totally .

However ref played a big part imo .

But my question is are the rags really as shit as we think ? My hatred of them clearly clouds any opinion I hold.

This is exactly how they are ‘using ‘ var

Game didn't matter.
CL game vs Real is the only thing in Pep's head.
It was a cup final for the rags. Let them have it.

Was Kun offside, and was it a free kick before their first goal?
Not seen an image which shows he was even with the lines drawn and 100% not. Dean also booked Ferny and Rodri after the free kick for what I can only assume was them telling him he was bent

i think the opposite tbh, it'll be a chance to lay down a marker, especially if they have the title already in the bag

Hope you're right blue, but I think its balls deep for the cups this season and the league is just a kick about.

Yesterday reminded me of 2011 when we got battered at Liverpool but went on to win the semi final against the rags and ultimately the FA Cup. I was fucking raging after that 3-0, but all forgotten once we lifted that first trophy in donkeys years. One in the bag this season, hope we are concentrating on making a really good fist of getting the other two.

Very slow and ponderous buildup play yesterday, which I think is due to the Rodri/Gundogan axis in midfield, without Kev there was just no dynamism. Sterling has been woeful since Xmas, would love to see Sane back in that role. Bernado strangely off colour too.
I agree about rodri/gundogan, but I don’t think it was just because we had no Kev. Phil and bern in the middle from the start with one of Rodri or Ilkay behind would of done the trick for me.
Re rodri/gundo; It is frustrating watching those two play together, although I think they’re great players individually, they just seem so slow together. We seem to not be able to stretch other teams defences so easy, maybe it’s because they’re used to it after 3 seasons, but I think it’s because we just don’t have the players in midfield willing to make those one touch passes. Rodri seems to want to hold onto it a bit too much but unlike dinho doesn’t seem to wanna take people on imo.
