Unbelievable JeffThere's a poster who said he'd have rather have lost against villa and won yesterday - that's the kind of fuckwittery you're up against.

That's one of the biggest load of bollocks that is regularly spouted on this forum. It's actually plain stupid - sorry.
Of course he gets it but he doesn't manage on the basis that beating the Rags is the be all and end all but some of our sad small time supporters still seem stuck in the days when beating United was the potential high point of our season.
Totally agree
But I don't think Pep gets what this game means to us the fans.

It'll be interesting to see who turns up on Wednesday night at the Etihad, the sad small time supporters or the glory hunters.
I'm prepared to give him more time. He is just not a box to box player no matter how much Pep tries to make him into one. But I think he can be excellent defensively with the right player alongside him. We really need someone like Kante to make the whole team tick but there are not many like him.We have been spoiled in this area in recent years with Ferdy and especially Ya Ya. This summer will be a critical time for us. We need to avoid a UEFA ban and have a great transfer window. Left back, centre back and centre mid are crucial areas to resolve.Rodri is a bad fit for us. He will be great in a slower league where he has an age on the ball and doesn't have to track back with pace, just like he was in Spain.

I remember Leeds goalie Gary Sprake doing it, but don’t remember Corrigan. I do remember him booting a clearance upfield, then turning his back as Ronnie Boyce (West Ham) volleyed it over Joe’s head into the net.
