Goals trump statistics.

Always will, but would Aguero's goal been disallowed at 'other end? Would the blue and red lines have been swapped over. We are, and have been for ten years, the most profligate team. We can score a shedful (see Watford!) but if the first doesn't go sailing in we can fall with a dodgy free kick!

We didn’t lay a glove on them, never looked like scoring.

but if only football was that easy matey ?? ok we lost and yes it hurts losing to them but would you swap places with them right now ? let them have there hour of glory and in the morning its gone you move on and go again and you can only look back at silverware not winning 3 points

FFS Mani, I came on here (a football forum) a had a bit of rant after we got needlessly beat, as did many others, not seen you commenting on any of their posts , anyway in answer to your question I post when I feel the need. If if makes you happy, If we win on Wednesday I will post something nice when I get home from the match.
Make sure you do beano and with lots of fuckin sugar on it :)

Sitting here in Barbados , having watched the game in a beach bar its left me wondering where it all went wrong .
Thursday nights will really be exciting for those of a certain persuasion , oh well back to the rum punches.
Citd.

I think he's better on the right, with Sane on the left. Let them try and get behind the defence and pull it back. As an inverted winger he (and Mahrez) have become too predictable.

I wouldn't disagree with that. I think losing Sane this season has been part of the problem with Sterling. Sane & Mahrez are completely different in style and Leroy's absence as a possible game-changer has hit us hard.

Just seen the first goal. Never a free kick in a million years

Just seen the Aguero disallowed goal. Not offside

We’ve been fucked over again... which was inevitable now the rags have a sniff of a CL spot
Aguero was offside. He was leaning forward and his upper body was off. The free kick decision for the first goal was a joke though.

You also haven’t mentioned that they should have had a penalty.

We didn’t get fucked over today. We were just shit and didn’t have the fight for it. They wanted it more.

Game summary for me. First goal....Bruno Fernandez dive and bad decision by referee...big mistake by Ederson. Second goal...Ederson again.
Hear hear

Today confirmed what we already knew...some players have lost form such as Sterling and Bernardo. Zinchenko and Otamendi are simply not good enough to play for a top team. In our worst performance of the season they still barely got into City's half in the second period. A few changes in the summer and we'll be fine.

Some of the hysterical comments on here are pathetic. I look forward to ruining the euphoria of United fans tomorrow by saying that they only won thru City mistakes and a dive by Fernandez. How times have changed...the derby has certainly become United's Cup Final nowadays....their fans were celebrating like they had won the CL final...haha!!.

Cheer up lads...we have an awful lot still to play for.

We were crap. They were marginally better then crap. There's no motivation for the league and i think you'll find a different level in the cups. Without Kev and Eric we're rudderless.

We didn’t lay a glove on them, never looked like scoring.

Apart from the one Sergio scored that was ridiculously given offside (a case of the combination of VAR and the laws of the game producing stupid results; of course, no VAR and the Assistant Ref would have needed an eye test - there's no way he stopped Sergio's shoulder was mm offside).

Nah. We had an hour to get back in game after first mistake, that can happen to any keeper. The game was over when he fucked up for the second.
Have you forgot the one when he let the ball under his feet and had to do a last ditch tackle on Martial? He was poor today, all round. His distribution was off too.

Poor performance all round. No need to single out anyone as everyone was below standard. They are not a bad team and we needed more than that to beat them. If we win against Real by protecting our walking wounded then forgive all. Hurts though.

Seems to be brushed under the carpet by the media. Fucking certain goal that.
