United (A) Post Match Thread

Getting a bit old to be honest. There might be one or two sure, but just because people have different views to yourself, does not make them other teams fans. It’s a forum where people have different views. Calling people out as ‘rags and dippers’ just because they have different views to yourself is an easy way to negate their views.
But you don't know what my views are. However, posters asking Pep to be sacked in the morning ' cos it was a boring 0-0 draw away in a derby in Dec. Form guide usually goes out of the winow in derby matches. Seems all a bit entitled raginess to me.

KDB has been a bit off all season. No one seems willing to accept this. I prefer playing FOden and Bernado and pressing the opponent. When we started KDB, Rodri and Fern we were saying have the ball at the back and take your time and they did.
Yep, agree re KdB. I reckon the 'City Highlights' editor will have to earn his corn based on that match, unless, at least 2 minutes are concentrated on the passes between Stones and Dias.
The movement and pressing today fell well short of fan expectations, maybe the players were just following instructions. Having said that, I can't see Pep saying to Sterling 'keep it up Raz, you're having a (yet another) stinker".

Same names every time. Can’t even be arsed getting worked up about them anymore.

I find that I can only read a small portion of these post game threads. The desire to verbally assault too many people ensues and that isn't productive. Our "supporters" actually worry me more than the team.

How poor is Sterling.
Last week on talk shite, they were talking about stiling winning the Balon" Dor ( excuse the spelling ) I kidd you not, I think they meant , a "A NEW FRONT DOOR " He is the most over rated player I have seen at city in 65 years of watching , the only real asset he has is his speed, once that has gone, he"s finished, he needs at least 6 or 7 chances to score, its no wonder that none of the big teams , have had a go at trying to buy him

I think the problem we have got is we conjest the middle of the pitch
Mahrez cutting in sterling cutting in no room for the likes of kdb and foden to operate to the best of there abilities
We know sterling can play that right side when he was in tandem with sane but mahrez cannot play on the left side as a left footer, don't know why
It is not just the fact that Sterling and Mahrez cut inside, both pull back the ball so losing all attacking momentum. Any one of our attackers breaking through the middle has to stop still whilst defenders have time to take up positions.

Then the only option for them is a back pass or to cut across a crowded midfield and try to get a shot away. A waste as they are invariably blocked and rarely score. Sterling has picked up this habit from Mahrez and his rate of scoring has dropped accordingly as have chances created for other players.

Did we create many chances at Utd? Maybe two good chances.
Yes but you have to credit the rags defence too. It was a classic stalemate, both defences cancelling each other out. Pep made a major mistake not playing Phil, a natural match winner however it was a decent point, we can now defend so let’s be happy about that.

The Rags' full backs were pretty much their best players yesterday, because they had to be. Raz kept their right side occupied and on their toes. AWB, who is a very good defender, really has to earn his corn when he plays against Raz; that's why Pep kept Raz on for the whole game.
