United (A) Post Match Thread

Having watched the highlights I didn't notice at the time but that burst of pace from Cancelo before he whips it in for the own goal. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
That first half was like a boxer landing heavy blows on the opponents gloves infront of their face just putting the fear of god into them. You're not being knocked out, yet, but this is almost as bad. Relentless.

That second goal. Didn't think it went in. De Gea's reaction is so sweet in a derby game.

Every ball we fought for. Tackles and interceptions on every single blade of that grass.

Tyler; I want to be annoyed at his bias, we deserve better, any team does, but the pain in his voice when Silva takes the piss is like having VIAGRA shot right into my veins. Love it. Soak it in Tyler cause you WILL see this again.

Might as well be Stalybridge Celtic.
The best thing about this video (with me only having watched 10 seconds of it) is that he's spent real cash on that mic. A better metaphor for what he is and what he says you could not find.

I think it must be a personal thing, as I've supported City almost as long, and throughout that time, if someone asked me who I support, I've usually said "Man City".

"City" doesn't necessarily work (unless you're in Manchester at the time) as there are other Citys. (Although yes, it has started to work in recent years now that we are *the* City).
"Manchester City" is great but it's also a mouthful.

The club itself have always been happy to use Man City, so far as I remember.
Our website is www.mancity.com, for example.

Could just be me.
It was mcfc.co.uk until about 2014 (?)
The match day page was great - had a timeline of goals, cards.

It’s taken a long time (thanks Wix) but the mancity.com one is now pretty good.

What a team, what a team and what a manager.
To go to the famous Old Trafford in front of all their fans and not let this mega expensive and talented team get the ball is a fucking awesome achievement. Im so happy, if I was a United fan Id be so fucking depressed after that. Where's the fucking Valium.

Fucking Awesome. I feel like we just won a cup. Thank you Boys in Blue.
Wonder how the Pisscan is feeling ?

I stole these off ragcafe, but they make for very enjoyable reading.
- Manchester United registered more shots on target against themselves (two) than they did at Manchester City’s goal.

– Manchester United managed just four touches in the opposition box. That’s their lowest tally in any game since Opta started recording the statistics in 2008.

– City completed 753 passes – the most any team has completed in a Premier League match against the Red Devils since Optastarted recording pass stats in 2004.

– Man City’s back four completed 331 passes. United’s back five (plus substitute Alex Telles) completed 169 passes.

- All 10 of City’s outfielders registered more touches than any United player.

– Cristiano Ronaldo registered just 27 touches. By contrast, City’s false nine Bernardo Silva registered 86 touches.

– Joao Cancelo has four assists in the past week alone, plus the ball in that led to Eric Bailly’s own goal. That’s more than Jadon Sancho, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood have all season combined

– United have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 14 home matches in all competitions – their longest run since 1959.

– Manchester United have lost more home matches (nine) than Crystal Palace (eight) since the start of last season.

Like many others I'm sure, that was a penalty and to not even go to VAR tells you all you need to know. Cheating, no more, no less.

As for Ronaldo on Kev, red card all day long.

And yes, without De Gea playing out of his skin, that's 4 or 5 nil every day of the week.
