That’s not quite true though…..VAR use the old ‘go and take a look on a monitor’

which we all know is code for ‘change your decision you numpty’
Twatwell bottled it when Ratface and co surrounded him with the plastic scum fans egging them on.
They don't always change their mind and Twatwell is too weak.
This is the same Twatwell who was demoted for his incompetence, his finest hour until today was awarding a goal after the ball went wide of the post.

That doesn't affect the law though.Of course he was interfering with play as common sense would dictate but he didn't affect an opponents ability to reach the ball.

The law is total bollocks.

Yes he did.. he slowed down and shielded the ball Akanji can’t go through the back of him or he is off with a red.

He fainted a shot, manipulated the ball and became a factor in our players not being able to reach the ball. Look at the photo from behind our goal.. erasing Rashford and Akanji is three times closer to the ball than Bruno.. Eddie is also closer to the ball.

You don’t need to touch a ball to run with it.. he completely manipulated the ball which affected our players ability to to reach the ball.

There are two points in the official FA rules that were breached.. it’s black and white mate, no argument or debate needed.

By the law of offside the goal should not of stood.

Have you seen the picture from behind our goal earlier in this thread?

Sort of. If Akanji tries to get to the ball and is blocked by Rashford, it's offside. If he tries to get to the ball and fouls Rashford, it's a foul. Not sure how you unpick that in a game when the defender tries to get the ball and gets the offside player first.

It's like a law designed by a committee who were in different rooms at the time
Fuck me.

I suggest you look up perspective.
Some of our fans are such mardarses, they expect a win in every game. They don't understand what "support" actually means.
The modern day bipolar fan, win and the club, players and manager are brilliant. Lose and its armageddon.
That’s totally condescending. Surprised you didn’t throw in York away. If you think that expectations don’t rise having experienced all the bad times you are deluded. Whilst we shouldn’t lose sight of where we have come from, you can’t now suppress expectations. Given that a lot of our current and future fans will be the ‘mardarses’ you allude to.

No one expects a win every game at all, and why are fans who are concerned by the way we are playing mardarses? I understand support mate, season ticket holder in 2nd division, watched us get beat by stockport County at home, visited most shit hole grounds following City, but we are supposed to have the best manager in the world, the best striker in the world, yet we are not playing well at all, so should we all just be blinkered and pretend all is well? Or can people not be entitled to an opinion without being called a mardarse, a fanny wipe or bipolar?

Yep,and many wont like it....but we also need some new inspiration and ideas from the bench.Whether that is in the form of coaches or the boss.....im not yet sure.
Starting to look like there are issues in the dressing room and they need sorting quickly, we have had a wonderful run but football can change quickly.

We are carrying far too many passengers and players brought in are a general downgrade on the past.

Big few months coming up and big decisions will have to be made at all levels.

I think the linesman should have put his flag up and the opportunity immediately ruled out, that would have been the correct decision.

However.....because no one knows what the fuck is going on these days,he allowed play to continue and then that led to the second phase of play bullshit which the rat took full advantage of.

Had our boys had done the same, there would be a completely different take.
No, the Lino did raise his flag and give the correct decision imediately, the Ref overruled him and gave the goal.

I find this kinda fandom bizarre. We all love the club here (excluding the few lurkers) but supporting the club is about what's best for the club, not assuming the club are doing whats best. We play boring football right now. And we've spent a billion quid assembling a squad to do that. I'm not having it.

Even under Ferguson some of the things that went their way beggars belief. If it’s a tight game the establishment dark arts come into play
I remember in one of bacons last seasons ‘own goal’ was their top scorer…..the old face melt guaranteed the rags 12 points a season minimum.

Lino did not raise the flag till the ball was in the net. Akanji was looking across at him expecting a flag and then he runs after Rashford when there isn't one, in a race he can never win. Nor can he foul him as he is technically not offside as no flag. The lack of a flag slows Akanji down, who has done his job correctly by playing Rashford offside. Immediate flag and whistle and no goal is what should happen there.

In our previous game 73% possession no shots on target, against the rags 70% possession 1 shot on target(the rags had 4 on target) . Our strikes on goal in our last 5 league games puts us in the bottom four.
What do you do expect when you play Side, back, side, back across again football. we have no pace in the team apart from Haaland. I don’t see it getting much better anytime soon . Haaland has had his purple patch. Now has to come deep to get the ball where he’s not really effective. Teams now have a template to play against us.

didn’t affect the opponents ability to reach the ball?? he’s clearly stood shielding the ball from akanji, don’t know how this is even up for debate. the ball is at his feet.
