My only worry is we are not as free scoring as we have been for quite a few seasons , we are not finishing games off , the Brighton game a prime example , last season cruising at 2-0 up at half time we would have added a few more goals but we ended up with a nervous last 15 minutes.
The Rags are shite lets have no doubt about that , but if the officials or VAR gift them a goal then they will be difficult to break down , they will defend for their lives and we are just not as prolific this season.
Alternatively if we get an early goal their vermin fans will push them to get an equaliser and we will open them up with our pace on the counter attack , hoping its the second scenario.

This all day , no matter what shite is spouted before the game , its what happens from 3.30pm on Sunday that will be remembered.
 
Its a derby, which means anything can happen, form goes out the window and the best team doesnt always win.

We are clearly the superior footballing team but in this game it doesnt matter.....they have beaten us before when we have played them off the park (the 3-2 at home when we could have won the league springs to mind).

We will dominate possession and they will play on the break...everyone knows this....playing us on the break is how most teams who do get a result against us do it, its nothing new and it can work. Its upto us to not give them the chance.

We arent playing as well as we have done in pervious seasons at present that is also clear (we arent playing badly just not upto the lofty levels we can get to).

They will play with Casemiro and McTomminay central which is quite a physical midfield so we need to deal with this. McTomminay is a danger from set pieces and arriving into the box late....their speedsters on the wing on the break is the other danger. Hoiland links play quite well from what Ive seen from him as well

We of course have dangers all over the park but what we have seen at times this season is an isolated Haaland due to a lack of service and creativity (however this was without Rodri in the team which upset the balance of the whole team)....we need Bernardo, Phil, Grealish to step up and provide and be goal threats. Alvarez could be the one however as teams are so focused on stopping Haaland and we know he is a great goal scorer in his own right. We need to shoot more (especially Haaland) from chances around the edge of the area as getting in behind them without KDB is more difficult.

Hopefully he plays as that would really effect us..not sure Nunes or Kovacic get the occasion like Foden does and neither (esp Kovacic) is anywhere near as creative as Foden.
