United and Liverpool EFL project - proposal rejected

Leicester fans say hi.
Leicester are from a big City, the surrounding area brings the population beyond 1 million. You can get 40,000 fans every week from that population and therefore sustain a top league side.

So sad they went under and I am glad they have risen again. My dad took me to see them as a lad over 55 years ago and have nearly always had a soft spot for them. Maybe if these proposals are pushed through with City's support might have to go back to my roots.

i've enjoyed going to the odd Bury game, made some good friends over there.

I see Macclesfield have come back

if this has been going on since 2017(which i don't doubt) parry worked for UEFA, he must of been a plant by united and liverpool to help swap opinion in favour of this shambles, he really needs fucking off, hes as bent as fuck, and if people let him carry on then they deserve all that's coming to them.

wonder if city leaked this as payback for his leaking the cas stuff ?

If Accrington Stanley can do it anyone can. Thinking about it footie has changed so much over the years, but in a gradual manner, maybe we as fans have lost sight of what a true footie game was all about.

Based on what exactly? His B team suggestion? You can't honestly believe the two are in anyway comparable.

When has Soriano done anything that makes you think he'd put helping out football as a whole next to City's individual benefit?

We know he wants B teams which would be as violent a change to the football league system as anything in Project Big Picture, we know he's put up season ticket prices almost every year when other top 6 clubs were freezing theirs, we know he is the man behind CFG taking over clubs across the world, rebranding them for global marketing strategy. We know he's never challenged FFP legally.

Soriano is no different to Parry, Gill, Woodward, Tom Werner all of these executives. He might be more competent than most, and he's on our side, but he's cut from the same cloth and has the same objectives.

I know City have been privy to this whole shit show. I'd like to think better of us, but the fact we gave a no comment yesterday suggests otherwise.

Would have been the perfect public moment to show we are not like them.

I suppose knowing about it and being actively involved in it was the point i was trying to explore.
I cant understand how we would be negotiating with two of the same clubs who were trying to end our existence a couple of months back.
I would have also thought that a" no comment" would be in accordance with our usual response to matters that do not directly affect City, and at this stage they don't.
Of course people are starting to post "what ifs" and "could be's" but no facts have emerged that City have either colluded with, or support the "Big Brother", sorry ""picture," plan.

Open note to The Sheik, Khaldoon, Soriano et al.. maybe you’ll read this or one of your colleagues may pick it up and pass it on to you, along with the comments of almost every other City supporter on here, whatever their age and so on.. :

Please do NOT get involved with this dreadful scheme concocted by United, Liverpool and Parry.

In the 60 years since I was first taken to Maine Road, I have, like the rest of my family, been Blue. I’ve witnessed first hand incredible highs (from the title win at Newcastle to ‘Aguero-o-o!’ to 100 points to the Quadruple) and desperate lows (from my first relegation in 62-63 to the Swales era to going down at The Britannia to having the double done over us by (fair play to them!) Wycombe Wanderers)

During that time I’ve also witnessed the behaviour of Manchester United..
- the dreadful treatment of its staff post-Munich
- the financial shenanigans that secured them World Cup ground status in 1966 ahead of City (Maine Road had 32000 seats in place, cf United’s 18000 and both grounds were equidistant from the City centre..)
- the financial shenanigans that got the first cantilever stand built
- the strong arming of other clubs in the 90s to change levies and gate receipts procedures in their favour
- the steady accretion of power post-creation of the Premier League, all at the expense of other clubs
- the general arrogance of the club and some of its followers as they mopped up honours and money and power
- its manipulation of the media to its own ends
- its involvement in undermining our club via FFP and the ‘legal’ processes which followed on from that
- and so on and so and so on..

And during that time I’ve also witnessed the behaviour of Liverpool..
- its feral fans leading the charge in hooligan behaviour from the early 60s onwards
- the accretion of power post-creation of the Premier League, as with United above
- Heysel and all of its consequences
- the stoning of our team’s bus
- the illegal hacking of our club’s computer systems
- its manipulation of the media and other clubs
- its involvement in undermining our club via FFP etc, as with United
- its cultish arrogance and the pandering from the media which buoys up the whole organisation
- its treatment of local neighbours, buying up and running down properties to further its pursuit of a bigger stadium
- applying for furlough money
- and so on and so on and so on..

I know you guys have a business to run. I know that you have to do everything you must to maintain and secure that business, now and in the future. But believe me, and I know you know this already, these people cannot be trusted; nor will their tawdry scheme, with its naked power-grab at the expense of the rest of football, do anything but harm to the game/industry here in England.

Please, please stay away from these people. Work openly and in the correct spirit with the rest of the football family to resolve the issues and problems facing the game/industry. Offer to help or to lead where it’s appropriate. Be a supportive follower when that is required, too. The end result will be so much better for all concerned and football will thank you.

Just do the right thing, City..
I'd quite like to see this one circulated via local media outlets such as the MuEN - a wonderful insight in to what a lot of us generally think and agree on.

The club should know that we are generally not in favour even if some of it would be of benefit to us as a club...............
