United and Liverpool EFL project - proposal rejected

Why is anyone surprised? We are not innocent in this and will have been a party to any discussions. In short the football we once new, played by ordinary blokes in front of those who could be bothered to pay to attend, and seen only rarely in highlights by anybody else has gone.

I always remember watching a playback of City v QPR and Redknapp using the terminology 'Product' to describe what was possibly the greatest twist ever witnessed in professional sport. It struck me that rather than discuss the emotions from a fan's perspective, he was already thinking of its sales potential.

I'd already decided last season was my last after years of positively hating every aspect of the game other than our club's name and badge. I was going out of nothing more than addictive habit. In short, I'm just sick to death of the absolute saturation coverage of a game played by hissy fitting teenage millionaires who are managed and owned by billionaire businessmen. It's not sport, it's not football. It's nothing more than a front for money making being porned on the back of genuine football fans love of something that was their private escape on a Saturday at 3pm. Raped, Pillaged and Prostituted by billionaires for their own good.

Exactly where were these twats when football was shit?

Where is your proof that we were involved in this proposal?
We Were not involved in pre appointment discussions with Mr Masters, or discussions about where foreign tv money should primarily go.
Fair play to you though for having principles and i assume believing City are involved in this you are completely distancing yourself from the club.

Those two history club owners hate our guts do you really think they asked our approval of this? I very much doubt it.
After everything that has happened, no way would Khaldoon trust these fuckers. This is purely a red invention and being forced because the majority of clubs have told them to get fucked so they are now trying to garner public outrage by giving the rest of the leagues a lifeline, using leverage to get what they want, which is power.

They came and bought it, invested billions and made it watchable.

Dont you remember Granada Soccer Night in the 80's/90's?

Surely you can't say the football you watched before the billionaires came into the game was better than what we are watching today? Before the TV money came in just going to the ground was akin to taking your life into your own hands...

I still preferred it to the sanitised, commercial, non-contact crap we have nowadays

The premier league brought English football out of the dark ages of hooliganism and incidents like Hillsborough and Bradford changing the old death trap grounds into the modern stadiums we have today. The way the tv deal was carved up giving certain clubs in Red an opportunity to begin a monopoly. They weren’t interested in helping Manchester City, Oldham and Ipswich when the premier league was formed. It was all about maximising United’s and Liverpool’s income streams. They have too much influence over this league, some of the questionable VAR decisions and the FA failing to go after Liverpool for hacking other teams scouting data bases. They don’t want an open competition this is just another example of the hold those two despicable clubs exert their influence to ensure they get maximum benefit. If they aren’t careful they could kill a lot of supporters interest in premier league, why don’t they have done with it and just have United and Liverpool play each other every week and fuck everyone else in the league off?

Interestingly, for all those City knockers claiming we have no history, we are 6th in "seasons in top division" table with 91 seasons out of 121

Only Everton 117, Villa 106, Liverpool 105, Arsenal 103 and the rags 95 have more than us

Edit:

Courtesy Gary James.
Not read his book but I've added them up myself before(excel sheet) and like to remind deluded Chelsea and Spurs fans in particular that we have more topflight pedigree in that respect. :)

We also had more major honours(including twice as many topflights) than Chelsea before our takeovers respectively, 9 to their 8.

It's shithousery I know but when in Rome...
