United (H) - League Cup SF 2nd Leg Post-Match Thread

hardly a worldie by mahrez today against kid though.
There skills were better suited for the guy thy didn't play against. Granted Bissaka is a tough out no matter what. But Sterling's speed could have been more useful against Williams ( who by the way looks fantastic).

Hopefully Pep has got his "pick a really weird team and formation" compulsion out of his system for this season. KDB looks embarressed during the interview

Do you think it's a coincidence that half our side are scared to shoot?

What's you point? The first team to score 60 league goals and 100 goals in all compets in Europe doesn't know how to score goals?

Bad day at the office regarding finishing including Sergio. Sterling isn't on form now, hopefully he gets better before Real.

Shit happens in cup games, we lost against Wigan in 2018 ffs. We were the much better team today, just a bit nervous in the decisive moments.

Another final, but fuck me were infuriating at times. What the fuck was David doing with that chance?! Pep must feel like jacking it all in due to stress.

Gundog severely compounded the situation, Messi would have struggled to pull that off.

Pep has to take a lot of responsibility, tonight’s tactics and players were off it all night.

One of our ‘non-clinical’ nights and that was a nerve shredding watch.

Even the substitutions were weird.

Job done though.

Sterling really needs an extended spell on the bench, we’ve been hoping he’d work through his lean spell but it’s just not happening for him at the moment.

Shameful. Fans deserve a refund.

serious questions should be asked. Genuinely think that was Pep’s poorest performance

Peps poorest performance?! The fucking players are responsible for that tonight. We played near enough the same formation against United the other week and demolished them. We can’t take our chances, it’s as simple as that.
