United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Thing is

I don't want to be in controversy but the Gary Neville looking mf'er at the end of Chessy video really annoyed me

We as City fans have been super spoiled and don't appreciate the stuff this team has done before

F that guy with his opinion cause the stuff he says is absolute bs

There is no solution to this

The players are done.....big players are finished....been saying it since the start of the season....Yes we are missing rodri BUT there is a bigger set of problems...
KDB, Gundo are both finished...for me I would drop them both now and play kids in their place for the rest of the season....they are absolutely pointless and we are playing with two less players in midfield every week.....they have been exposed time and time again week in and out....not just today - a better team would have scored more against us today and taken the game to us from the off.
Grealish -Ive said from day one with him - he offers zero attack or defensively. - he is the biggest mistake our club have ever made post takeover.
Walker - everyone can see it - he is done....he has lost confidence and he knows it as well....and the other solution in rico is no bettter if not worse.

Stones and AKe are pointless at this point also as they cannot stay fit for more than a few weeks at a time...less with Stones.

The problems are huge and are way bigger than the game today - they have been there all season for everyone to see. ...no midfield and no fullbacks.....

A huge rebuild is needed in the summer and it is not going to happen over the winter period.
Silly post. We don’t have the squad size to completely drop KDB, Gundo, Walker and Grealish,

Your point......

Fickle fans- gve your head a wobble acting as if anyone on here has the first clue about football to the level these players/manager are playing at- self inflated opinions of yourselves and what you think you deserve to see

Surely Nunes falls under that or is he exempt?
Yeh nunes knows more about how to play football than you regardless of his one mistake- sorry to break it to you mate.

Think we’ve kept too many players for too long. You’ve got to keep it fresh yeet we’ve flogged kdb, Bernardo
You bring in players the calibre of Nunes, you get what you deserve.

Recruitment has just been woeful the last 2/3 summer
I'm not sure we should even pin our hopes on a rebuild in the coming transfer windows.

Can we really trust the current regime given their incredibly poor judgement with both incoming signings and the players we've allowed to leave in the last couple of years?

I called them out at the game as well. I don't know if you were there or not and I'm not calling you out if you weren't,

but you see so much more live than you see on the TV. You see more of the body language, and the desire to win a 50/50 ball or close and attacker down.

But I do agree, and have been saying myself, that there have been serious shortcomings at the top level. Someone at the game today told me their pal worked at the club around the time of the takeover. Garry Cook called everyone together at Carrington and said that the plan was to win the CL and several PL titles by 2025. We've done that, but it's not clear that we reevaluated our strategy in the last few years. We've rested on our laurels and are seeing the outcome of doing that.

I've speculated there's more focus on CFG than on City itself. Txiki has admitted the failings. There's even question marks over Pep's ability to motivate these players. This is why this situation feels different and more dangerous than previous rebuilds when we've had to replace the likes of Kompany, Fernandinho, Silva, Ageuro and others. We actually did that and got even better but the replacements in the current crop look distinctly second rate. If we don't start getting it right, it could be a long road back.
This together with charges had made the top brass think too much about the bottom line imo

The refresh needs to start with the coach in my opinion
I'm open to that tbh. If we knew he was staying for 5 years more I'd stick cos I think there's time to rebuild and move forward. We know it's the beginning of the end right now though so I think there's a case for getting on with it

What's the saying, your only as good as your last game, well currently we're shite, in all my years I don't think I've seen a City team with as little fight, we go behind and we just collapse, a weak under belly, in the last few weeks we've threw away leads in various games, if we didn't have points on the board we'd be relegated, the squad rebuild is bigger than any of us expected.
