United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Absolute shambolic performance and fingers have to be pointed at Pep but more importantly some of the players. Some are clearly past their best and some are not even good enough at all. The rot has well and truly set in and immediate major surgery is needed not only to arrest this slide this season but not to be left behind for the next few seasons.

But who goes from the club, Pep or the players not up to the task? It'll be interesting to see what people on here think about that. I don't want to see Pep walk or get sacked but the possibilty of that happening gets greater day by day. I don't want to see players who clearly are not up to the fight being picked to play, I want to see them shipped out as soon as possible.

We can blame injuries all we want but we should have a squad capable enough to limit the damage that causes but clearly that hasn't been the case. Are some players actually being affected by the media and their delight at our current plight. It's like some players are frightened to go out onto the pitch and fight for the club.

We've been spoilt for the last 4 seasons but this feels we are now staring down the abyss here. Confidence is shot, we've been found out and we can't buy a draw let alone a win. Dark times ahead I'm afraid and we are scrambling about aimlessly looking for that chink of light at the end of the tunnel. Let's hope that we find it sooner rather than later.

I think he should stay and you should go instead
Nah fella, don't be tellin' other Blues to go because they're fed up. He's entitled to any opinion he wants as a supporter. What we are watching considering who City have been is inexplicable. It's beyond the wildest Twilight Zone episode ever made. This isn't a dip, a blip or whatever else some of you want to say. It's a complete collapse. Granted this team isn't anywhere close to being good enough. We have too many washed up players and another bunch that are nowhere need good enough. We should still be better, but realistically Pep would have to be Jesus Christ to get consistent results from this crew...

I don't think it's a case of being able to fix it. We have three issues,

One is the tried and tested players are utterly burnt out from 4 title wins.

Two, is the players bought are too far from the quality we need.

Three, as a result of the above there is no belief and confidence whatsoever.

Replacing the worlds best manager with another manager fixes non of those issues and potentially sets us back further.
I get that it's fustrating and easy to point fingers at him but it wouldn't fix the problem. We would still be in the same hole.
Not correct.
Pep is playing players that are not up to his styles level. Instead of changing his style to accommodate their deficiencies, he's ploughing on with a system set up to fail.
A new manager would not be bound by this and play players in a system that gets the best out of them.
A bit like what Amorim is doing at the moment. Most of that team is on borrowed time.

How responsible was he for picking the team? Or for our lack of fucking bollocks in the first 10 minutes. Or for the fucking pathetic 2 players in the box corner just before the goal. We need to fucking grow a pair. And the manager as us sucking the fucking balls in. There was no coordinated press because he's insistent on playing his best friend and clearly fucking past it gundo in midfield. There was no fucking bollocks in the first 10 minutes. This is the worst united team in 37 years. Literally the worst. They are garbage. And we had nothing. Fucking nothing. The whole team and imparticular the manager should be fucking ashamed of themselves.
We didn’t play well but I thought it was reasonably well controlled but then the 2 Nunes mistakes and we are fucked

I think Pep is going at the end of the year.

I dont think he should be fired, you don't fire a manager the year after 4 in a row unless you're in the relegation zone.

But he's clearly got some issue with getting the team mentally and tactically prepared, even with the injuries we have.

I remember watching a documentary about Barca while he was there and in his last year, he seemed to become incredibly erratic, stubborn to change and his tactics just weren't working. It all just seems a little familiar right now.

Hopefully we can limp to January in 1 piece, get some reinforcements and hopefully figure things out, but right now we have a major problem.
