United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Its been coming. Following the treble it was a concern who we let go and who came in. The squad’s so unbalanced today its ludicrous. Keeper situation is embarrassing. No elite Right back, no left back at all. No DM Cover. No winger who scores (or assists enough). No back up for Haaland.

Weve been playing with fire and its well and truly caught up with us and burnt us to a crisp.

Ah yes, it has been coming. We have lost our edge. The rebuild should have started on the day after our treble. Bellingham Rice Kimmich Musiala or whoever should have been first inside the door.

I still remember Chelsea signing the at that point of time - most in demand player in the world - Eden Hazard in 2012
His first words - i am going to the home of European champions.

Instead we did a Spurs or United - went even further into the Abyss to find something even worse and two years hence here we are!

I'm still trying to calm down after that.

We would have seen the game out only for Nunes stupidity with the short lass back along with the ridiculous foul.

Once they equalised, We all knew what was coming.

Apart from that, As a performance overall it was pathetic, No urgency, Lack of desire, No ideas, Passive...We look an absolute shadow of the team we were a few months ago.

I genuinely don't know where we go from here, If we can't beat that lot at home with a lead then we won't win any game.
I'd honestly play a couple of the kids until we can get to January, at least they'd bring a freshness and some much needed energy to the team.

Pep won't though, he's far too loyal.

Nunes into the dressing room …

I'll defend haaland. But he was a fucking shambles today. But imagine being ignored for 90 minutes? 3 times we had the chance to play the ball to him, where he loves it, on the half turn. 3 times we played it backwards. We're wasting a generational talent - not to get better chances, but to keep the ball in areas that can't hurt the opposition. It's the fucking weirdest thing you ever saw.
Yeah i get that, and agree, we have no creativity, and we dont feed him. But hes given up at the moment, hes not looking even remotely interested and that isnt ok

Heading for disaster, no Champions League next season, the few quality players we have will head for the door . Building a stand that will be empty . We will be quoted astronomical prices for new players , many won’t sign for a team not in the Champions League. But hey ho record turnover and profit is all that counts .

Oh dear

It's exactly like a few mistakes we have made recently - the players make an initial mistake and then compound it out of desperation

That’s exactly what happens when you hit rock bottom. It will pass but it’s like a Monday morning when you’ve drunk far too much and done something stupid but that is not totally unfixable. Tuesday will be better and if it’s not, eventually life will get better.

Nail in the coffin for Nunes. Won’t see him playing in a city shirt again after that fuck up.
Always held out hope for him, but that one pass and attempt at the recovery "challenge" shows his lack of a football brain.
Pep isn't blameless here btw - and no I don't want him to quit/be sacked as it's ridiculous - I can't understand how he saw Nunes playing the role he was asked to today
