United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Theyve gone from “cant get a ticket”, to “prem football isnt the same any more”, to “i much prefer grass roots” whilst jumping on some other band wagon.

I know loads that go to county now, coincidently since countys up turn in fortunes

Needy, weak willed pricks
It's not the same anymore for them because they can't compete.

Plus the strange thing about when we were sliding/falling from the 1st tier into the 3rd tier, and the lowest in point in our club's history. It seemed the worse we got, the more folk came to watch us, it really was bizzarre.
That first game in div 3 v blackpool felt feral.
I remember going half expecting a half empty stadium, instead it was packed with a fever pitch atmosphere.
As the season started and into autumn the crowds did dip a bit as we struggled but when we hit our lowest point the crowds turned up again! Willing the team on.
Was it wrexham away, boxing day? My memory is shot without checking but weikens bagged a last min winner ? After that we were all as one, the team, the fans, big joe royle, andy morrison, and we dragged each other across the line

Yeah. That Blackpool game was great day. Sunny & everyone in their blue shirts filling the ground. City fans are NOT glory supporters. We’re real supporters. I still sit near the same folk from the Kippax who were at that game. Amazing.

He made two great tackles he didn’t dive in at all totally under control What cost us at Brighton was not defending the free kick cleanly and a bozo handball then astonishing bad defending for the winner started by a mistake from Jonny Stones
Why was Nunes standing there with is hand up before the Brighton player has even made connection with the ball. It was a ridiculous decision from him and not the first time he has cost City with his stupid mistakes.

My point is no free kick then no goal. Anything can happen from set pieces so no one wants to conceded them if avoidable. I've also said before how weak Marmoush and others were in the ta kle before Khusanov fouled. Anyway I need to let if go now!!

Andy Morrison hitting one on the half volley at Boundary Park, battering Fulham who were running away with the league I think three nil at Maine Road. And the scariest it’s ever been at a football match when Millwall turned up and it turned into a full blown riot in the North stand. More people watching the first leg of the Wigan game sat in the kippax on a big screen than there were at the actual ground at Wigan Athletic. Not to mention the pitch invasion at the end of the return leg when we knew we were going to Wembley. Has to be one of my favourite seasons watching City that.

Late August to Christmas was pretty depressing. There was an existential threat hanging over the club with a squad of 50+ mostly shit players. Meanwhile over the city boundary the cunts were on their way to a snide treble.

Remember Micheal Branch came on loan for a bit and gave us a spark. I don’t think we could afford to make it permanent, then Terry Cooke turned up and started to do the business.

To be able to complete back to back promotions was some achievement by Joe Royle and that group of players. A rollercoaster of a ride for all of us blues, I count myself lucky to have been there to witness those seasons.

I thought that as well.

After the dominant eras of Sir Matt and the pisscan, I thought that the rags would still be well ahead on goals scored.

the more impressive stats are that we have scored more than them in the top flight meetings (both premier league and old first division)
They only have the same number of goals as us because of goals scored in the second tier, FA cup and the glorified friendly (community shield)

Yep a proper club who pay for the construction of new stands from their own resources and not hand outs from the British tax payers.
