United (H) Post Match Thread

He just doesn't seem to get our fan base does he? Yes he is probably a great manager but we have a fan base that needs to beat the rags and he doesn't get it. Like the season he played a weakened team against them in a cup match. I'm not going to say he isn't good but he needs to look at our history, we are not all thinking that the be all and end all is to win in Europe, yes we do want to win but beating the rags is just as important so put your best side out, after all the ones sitting on the bench that he eventually brought on, could have got us a great lead and then he could close it down, take them off and rest them for Tuesday> Just my humble opinion.

Serious question - would you rather beat the rags and them win the league, or them beat us and we win the league.

I know the ideal is beating them and winning the league, but I also know which one of the two I would go for

Both deluded. Fuck all wrong we tbevteam selection as the score at half time proved, yes we could/should have had more but no guarantees that anyone else would have been in the position Sterling was never mind scored them. The 2 defenders everyone wanted to start went to pieces second half, fuck all to do with pep, fuck all to do with who we were playing, they just went awol at the crucial times. This it’s the rags and he’s disrespecting us is a load of bollicks, simple as that.

Tiny margins make all the difference, the last two games we have been denied two stone wall penalties, against the dippers they scored a goal that was off side, we were denied a goal hat was proved to be onside.

We have had zero luck in the last 2 games, hopefully it turns in our favour on Tuesday.
It's mad how unlucky we are in some big games. The opponent scores on every fucking shot as well. I'm pretty sure that Ox has scored two long shots in his whole career, and both has been us. We are incredibly unlucky very often. I can't remember the last time we've had some luck

People need to chill the fuck out, nobody want to lose a derby but it happens. Sure 99% of the people on here would have played our best players but the side Pep picked was more than good enough to win today. At half time nobody was complaining, at the end of the day we missed 3 gilt edged chances in the first half, we hit the woodwork twice, were denied a stone wall penalty ( and a sending off ) and the Young handball could quite easily have been given.

These things happen, we just need to move on to the next game and enjoy the ride.

I'm a lazy **** so I'll just leave this here. Word for word, spot on.

We did 'boss' the first half. They had one touch in our penalty area. We still have a very soft centre when teams go for it and our best players have gone missing at the most important time of the season. The team is done this season, they look flat and jaded and it's a good job we have such a big gap.

But that loss was down to one incompetent (at best) man and he doesn't 'play' for either City or United.

Disappointment is an understatement. We seem to have lost our consistency and momentum for a certain period of the match.
As with other opinions on here I am concerned that we will be unable overturn the deficit on Tuesday and could struggle against an in form Spurs next weekend.
Having said that we are City and we could win both.
We didn't go into this game in the best of condition did we but at half time we were coasting and should have been 4 or 5 nil up. Utd were terrible. Even in the 2nd half they weren't good.

We need to re-group and get the Liverpool game out of the way. It wouldn't have mattered so much had we got a result at Anfield, but we lost today's game because we hd ti keep something in reserve for Tuesday, and no doubt that will be in vain.

that just makes no sense.....it wasn't bent (as in deliberate)...they were ref errors plain and simple.....

we should only ever look at controlling what we can control and that is how we play and how (to a certain extent) the opposition play. Pep liked ahead a game too much something he has said he wasn't doing all season...he made a mistake....

Yeah they was referee errors why do they always happen to us

Roll on VAR....

There’s absolutely no point saying ‘but we played well’ it’s how many goals you score. Yes we will STUMBLE to the title, but we had a once in a lifetime chance to win the title against the rags. It will NEVER happen again, EVER! And we fcuking bottled it.
It’s harder to take than the Wigan loss.
Diabolical game management and yet again shocking inability to finish gilt edge chances.
Can’t wait to hear the excuses tomorrow. I can’t even face the tv or social media rag wankfest.
