United (H) Post Match Thread

No point bothering @rnblade , he won't reply. It's taken me numerous posts trying to engage him in conversation before realising he's no interest in having a discussion. Maybe he is incapable.

All he'll do is post the same rubbish over and over, very rarely post anything positive but you'll find him in the Match Day thread repeating the same negative shite.

Quite frankly, I believe him to be a complete fucking idiot.

Yep, he comes across as a right fucking balloon.

What has resting players got to do with anything?

Otamendi was an utter shambles. Danilo took a wallop on the hip and needed to come off but said he was fine, only to disappear from the game immediately, and Gundogan and Bernardo did what they do when we need character.

But resting players had nothing to do with it.

Would Gundogan and Bernardo have played if he hadn’t rested players?

We are a very good team who plays some excellent football, but a great team? Do me a favour.

Second time in a week we have conceded 3 in about 15 minutes. Absolute atrocious game management and psychology.

Won the league because everyone below us has been absolutely rubbish and inconsistent.

This is arguably the biggest week of the season so far....semi final in CL on the line and Prem title there for the taking AND against those rags......its weeks like this that show whether you are a "good" team or a "great" team...so far, I think all its showed is that we still a work in progress and have a way to go before we reach our true potential. We've had a great season so far but to be fair, all that really matters is these next 6 games....we failed so far this week in 2 of our biggest games of the season and somehow need to find a way to lift our heads for Tuesday...

Handball had to be a pen, would have been a tap in. Oh wait, wasn’t it Sterling? Correction, would have been a goal kick. Second correction - might have been a throw in.

May I remind anyone saying the foul on Aguero wasn't a red card, of the following:

"Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play."

It matters not that he got the ball. He was wildly out of control, endangering an opponent and ended up going over the top. It's a straight red, all day long.

Just wondering that if he didn't then why do it with us? Can top teams afford to rest their best players? We would have had a huge momentum and feel good going into Tuesday's game. Now the fans are deflated.

It wasn't and cost us. People going on about a great 1st half but he means nothing if you lost the game.

Pep realised he'd fucked up when he put on KDB, Jesus and Aguero.
Maybe he didn't have a key champions league game a few days after. Or maybe he did rest players, I don't know. But surely you can accept there is valid reasons for resting one or two players (whether you agree with the reasons or not).

Totally spot on. The crowd were immense today too first half. I very much doubt that will be repeated Tuesday now. The fans are flat. It was so flat coming out of the ground and having to suffer listening to them twats blasting out their shite songs.

A really really annoying day and week.

Except its not.

In the eyes of a spit and saw dust blue, the league will always take priority.

You need to have a look at the dynamic of the football club today.

They'll tell you the champions league is number 3. It's not. It's number 1.

That is clear in the current attitude and there will always be a disconnect given that.

However, we will win the champions league under his tenure and all this noise will go away.
