Grade A tw@t.
I couldn't believe when Tyler said Sterlings was an effort. Like you said, Otamendi's shot was on it's way in & hit Sterling...Just watched the extended highlights - forgot that Sterling not only missed three chances in the first half he also blocked otta's chance in the second half that was going in. Grrrr
I'm from the future. You might want to fast forward to next week.I couldn't believe when Tyler said Sterlings was an effort. Like you said, Otamendi's shot was on it's way in & hit Sterling...
Our priorities obviously lay elsewhere yesterday, & the gamble blew up in our faces. Like I've been saying, 9.30pm on Tuesday will tell us if it was worth the gamble.
Pep and the club, give it a rest.
Pep didn't decide to bottle three gilt edged chances, Pep didn't decide to go missing for 30mins in the second half and concede three goals and I can go on and on.
Have you noticed though that we’ve taken our foot off the gas and taken our work rate to about 75% once we’ve got a lead all season against everyone? Both games against the dippers and this one against the rags we’ve lost the game due to a mad 10/15 mins. We really need to sort ourselves out and stop them periods from occurring. Our mental strength was never in doubt the first half of the season but maybe now we’re seeing the boys tire, both physically and mentally.
I’ve noticed our pressing has gone way down in recent weeks and we’re not creating as much angles as we used to when Eddie has the ball. Dinho is vital to that and I don’t blame him if he’s shagged he’s played more or less every game. Mad we didn’t buy a CM in the summer/January.
I know I shouldn't listen to a rag but one said some thing to me yesterday that at the time I dismissed but I have thought about since.
What he roughly said was " you still have a small time mentality, the league is just a formality for you and yet you complain that you manager is trying to rotate to give you a fighting chance in the CL just because it's a derby". At the time I just fucked him off but the more I thought about it the more it made me question my thinking.
What if we do go through on Tuesday, most of us are expecting to go out but why? Ok we are three down but we are capable of turning that around but we need to be mentally strong in order to do so. Pep is focused and you can bet your life he hasn't given up. Say we do progress and get through to the semi's while getting the two wins required for the league? Would we really be too downbeat about the derby and if so why?
When we lift the prem yesterday will mean fuck all.I know im confident we will win the league if we don’t then that will be the biggest joke in the modern game. Doesn’t take the sting out of losing a derby especially a derby that we should have won and would be champions.
Starting to come round again and I'm looking for positives from yesterday. First of all, we as fans were tempting fate big style yesterday: "stand up for the champions" and "ole, ole and ole", and singing "ole' on every completed pass: I hate all of that nonsense. These are worst things we could ever do in terms of tempting fate, and besides it makes us sound like all the 'glory, glory' fans supporting United, Liverpool and Arsenal: the last thing we want to do is become like them and start bigging ourselves with our 'istree' etc. Their fans can sing those songs if they like and have everyone else reaching for the sick bag - but please not us. I hope we NEVER sing those songs again.
Yeah, think we got used to coasting through games once we took the lead against teams and like you said it’s become a bad habit. Pep will need to fire them up for tuesday now I still think we have a chance at hammering Liverpool. They’re fragile.Have you noticed though that we’ve taken our foot off the gas and taken our work rate to about 75% once we’ve got a lead all season against everyone?
I think it’s become so much part of our play that it’s a bad habit where we can easily slip into switching off in games now, which is suicidal when the big games come around.

Just imagine if our lead had been 7 points before yesterday and not 16 - so better to be taking yesterday on the chin and hope learned what he needed to from yesterday.
.
Not only did we lose to the scum they are now apparently world class again and Pogbad is the best midfielder in the world! (again)!
One of the best football headlines " how much is that Poggy in the window?" Come on guys and girls, we're all pissed off but the Rags would deffo swap places with us.Not only did we lose to the scum they are now apparently world class again and Pogbad is the best midfielder in the world! (again)!
