Finally got round to speaking to me dad in his 70s today, who stopped letting football get to him seriously a number of years ago, but he was utterly gutted that he didnt get to see us crowned champions by beating United, i think it really brought back a lot of memories from back in the day. Shame. I have to agree it was a glorious opportunity wasted.
Pep and the club, give it a rest.Know exactly how your Dad feels.
Pep and the club however don't get what the derby means and see the champs league as more important.
Does anyone know the pricks crying in the stand after the game shown to the world on sky, if so name and shame the fuckers! They should be paraded before the crowd at the next home game and pelted with rotten tomatoes! Talk about embarrassing

Refreshing to read the last three positive posts and especially your rag friends comments about a small time mentality. I think he is right. Pep does see the bigger picture and wants progress in the champ league. The ambitions of the club are huge and much bigger than local bragging rights or just a one off title win like Leicester.I know I shouldn't listen to a rag but one said some thing to me yesterday that at the time I dismissed but I have thought about since.
What he roughly said was " you still have a small time mentality, the league is just a formality for you and yet you complain that you manager is trying to rotate to give you a fighting chance in the CL just because it's a derby". At the time I just fucked him off but the more I thought about it the more it made me question my thinking.
What if we do go through on Tuesday, most of us are expecting to go out but why? Ok we are three down but we are capable of turning that around but we need to be mentally strong in order to do so. Pep is focused and you can bet your life he hasn't given up. Say we do progress and get through to the semi's while getting the two wins required for the league? Would we really be too downbeat about the derby and if so why?

This. Obviously new to supporting us. It was absolute cringe but fair play to sky for picking out all the mardarses. Was embarrassed as fuck seeing that.No nothing wrong with it at all but to cry at that yesterday was pretty pathetic.
Our own fault.
Regardless of being fucked over by the match officials, the simple fact remains we wouldn't be highlighting it today if we had taken any one of the other five gilt-edged chances we had before the break.
Sterling and Gundogan let us down at the pivotal moments, both who can be considered nothing more than decent squad players, when the real pressure moments come along.
Losing yesterday isn't the issue for me, it's how we lost.
We were fantastic for the first half.
I am becoming a little more aware that Fern is either on his last legs or the system is simply catching up with him this season.

I know im confident we will win the league if we don’t then that will be the biggest joke in the modern game. Doesn’t take the sting out of losing a derby especially a derby that we should have won and would be champions.Have a look at the league table, especially 1st and 2nd.
We need to put yesterday to 1 side now a mad 16 mins does not make us a bad team nor does it make the rags even close to challenging us. Rags had 5 shots all game we should have scored 6 or 7 first half the performance was 1 of the best 45 mins I've ever seen with a unbiased ref and better finishing and there keeper pulling 2 worldies out we score 8 or 9 yesterday. We were the better team for 80% of that game and the better team by a country mile not a little better but miles better. Time to wipe your fannies and get ready for what could be an unbelievable night on Tuesday because if we put in the same performance minus the 16 mins we will be in the semi's and the last week will be forgotten.
Agreed! The defending was poor, the finishing was poor. The refereeing and lino-ing was execrable!
No idea mate, I was just picturing us putting upset kids in the stocks before the Liverpool game and throwing tomatoes at them.I didn’t see any of the criers... not adults I hope?
Just watched the extended highlights - forgot that Sterling not only missed three chances in the first half he also blocked otta's chance in the second half that was going in. GrrrrAgreed!
