United (H) Post Match Thread

This forum represents our fan base mate. I was pissed off as anyone on Sunday, but you can't just Spout shit for days and not think it doesn't reflect badly on our fans. We are stating to sound like rags.
I bet 90% of our fan base doesn't know it exists,it represents fuck all

Now the dust has settled, do the real blues who post regularly on here think that some of the posts have been acceptable? If they have been posted by blag fans or wum merchants then that's another thing, if not it's just plain wrong. If you have spat your dummy out because we have lost one game in 29 and you're a real blue hang your head in shame. If not then why are these imposters allowed to be embarrassing the club with the Utter shit they've been allowed to post. This could end up being the greatest season in our history and we are sounding like a bunch of pathetic entitled twats. I know this is a forum for discussion but some of the slagging off for our manager and greatest ever players has been staggering.
You may or may not agree with what is ranted but you must always allow people to express their opinions.

Football is an emotional game to start and there's no more emotional situation than a derby, whether you win or lose. I forced myself to watch the whole game again yesterday evening and, actually, we weren't as bad as it seemed in real time.

I've noticed that it's much easier to deal with the emotion when you're at the match, when there's others to sound off to. If you make an idiot of yourself then the people around you will laugh at you and take the piss. Then once you leave the stadium you're more concerned about where to drink or what to have for tea and you go back to normal life. Whereas if you're watching remotely it's more difficult as you often don't have someone else to sound off to.

I’ve hated the derby for years. I’ve not looked forward to it , occasionally avoided it completely and gone into the odd hibernation after particularly ordinary results.
But to see the rags celebrating their “cup final” is hilarious; to see them celebrating our having fecked it up at home and not win the league but then a week later 76000 muppets witness a home loss to West Brom to guarantee us as Champions is a thing of beauty.
They have become so small time that a win against little old us is seen as a wonder to behold
Its not great but at the end of this season if that’s all they have so be it.
“This is how it feels”... doesn’t it actually feel soooo good!!!

Totally agree. I find it very difficult watching us on TV. As someone who attends most games home and away I have had to get used to TV games this last 12 months. I hate the experience. It is more frustrating than being in the stadium. What pissed me off the most about Sunday was the gleeful way Neville and Tyler behaved. It just winds me up but I hate watching on mute as well.
I remember the FA Cup defeat against United when we came back to lose 3-2 with ten men. It was enjoyable in the stadium because of the collective emotion of the crowd. The result was irrelevant in many ways.
You are right about the post-match cooling off period in the pub as well. This is what I have missed so much and I can't wait to get back to watching us live again. I don't think I will ever be able to cope with just being an armchair fan.

Nothing wrong with being concerned that we had a brilliant first team/plan to prevent the counter, concede minimal goals, control games and bring the best out out of each individual player and now it genuinely seems to have gone out of the window to accommodate Kev. I don’t really care what it sounds like, just use your eyes to watch how we are actually playing with him in the team compared to without. He’s a brilliant player who deserves respect but we should have been playing him tonight, against Fulham and Gladbach to get him back in to form. It’s pretty obvious and people are right to be upset that we literally threw the derby. This won’t be the most successful season in our history but if we’re very lucky it may be our second most successful (another domestic treble). However, the team selection when we have a full squad tells me we’re too scared to go for the CL.

This...

I was at the derby last season at our place when utd won.

I was really pissed at the final whistle until the utd players came over to their fans. The utd players were throwing their shirts to their fans and dancing and sing with them.
That made me laugh and took away any pain I had for losing.
Watching man utd celebrate beating little old City at the Etihad was the biggest match of their season. How far have we come and how far have they dropped.

I think everyone in the area knows when I'm watching City on telly. They can probably tell the score without ever seeing any of it.

Kev encourages the counter by constantly giving it away. The offset of this is when he is on he is giving you a huge amount of creativity, which we'll eventually need to break down the best defences.

You cant play kev without Bernardo though. Just can't. It doesn't work. So basically we can't have Gundo and Kev in the same team. It just doesnt work. Bernardo, on form is our most important player right now. We look a barely above average side without him

Absolutely spot on! ;)
