Not really going to matter in terms of the league.
And Pep has done an amazing job this season but at some point someone has to say to him "Really Pep?! Fucking Noddy (with a much poorer team) has got one over you again?!"
I think it's looking with the benefit of hindsight to be overly critical of the team selection. Hard to suggest picking KDB for a big match and an in-form Mahrez is totally out there. The team was certainly attack minded and looks good on paper.
However, it appears increasingly likely that City will have to do a lot of thinking in the summer about the direction they take and how deBruyne fits into that. There's no doubt Kev is world class but it also can't be denied the midfield three of Rodri, Gundogan and Bernardo is currently City's most balanced and effective midfield, by a fair margin I would say. Of course Kev will improve but he's pushing 30 now and picking up niggly injuries that keep him out a couple months at a time will start to have an effect.
I don't know what the solution is, I'd certainly not endorse getting rid, the guy's a wonderful player but I do worry it might become more of an issue over time.
