United (H) Post Match Thread

one good thing will come from this and thats HALLAND this kind of game crys out we need a young quality goalscorer, that would have been noted today if it has not in the past, this game says go get him at all costs
Ive seen this guy on YT he is immense. I think we will get him.

At the end of the day people only want to know the result...not bothered about the record just losing to them twats caused by ourselves...Pep....changes tactics instead of sticking with a winning combo..always happens in key games...
Winning combo? You talk as though he’s played the same 11 with the same tactics every week!

Yes there were some mistakes maybe in the line up but had Pep started Foden and Bernardo and we lose 0-2 too then people would be moaning for why KDB is on bench why isnt he bringing Sterling in at HT etc.

More of an issue when we concede early vs a strong team we are often fucked. Spurs away in November was the same, already behind in 5 minutes...

we are still in 4 competitions, Pep must rotate due to to crazy schedule, dont forget we started the season something like 6 weeks later than usual, without pre season. we hardly have a week break between two matches.

he rotated every week during the 21 win run, that was probably one of the reason we won so many.
Good post mate. Nice to see rational analysis.

We didn't play well (obviously) but we had more than enough good chances to win it - nothing Pep can do about a chance we can't put away from two yards or other chances when we can't strike the ball as well as normal.

I think we all agree Foden is a first 11 must now.Only reason I can think he is left out is Pep knows his true value and wants to keep him as fresh as possible and not because he is being nurtured anymore. As for the defeat, thats 1 in 23. 22 straight wins. Thank you City a privelage to have watched some amazing football. Ive no doubt we will go on and win at least 5 of the last 10. Ill take a derby defeat and PL champs every year thank you.
As fresh as possible for what exactly?

Didn't plan to, but forced myself through it.
Now that is a real fan. I'll be rewatching once it gets on Peacock later tonight..

I have to see what really happened. My current sense is that it was a smash and grab. But we had some issues. Even on defense a few cracks seemed to show up. :(

I'll review later.

Before last weekend we were 10 points ahead with United still to play. 3 games later we are 11 points ahead with 3 less games to play and the United game is gone. I’m not sure we need start worrying just yet.
They are averaging 1.92 points a game, I’ll round it up to 2 for them. That form would give them 74 points, that’s 3 more wins from.

Southampton (H)
Fulham (A)
Leicester (A)
Leeds (H)
Villa (A)
Palace (A)
Chelsea (H)
Newcastle (A)
Brighton (A)
Everton (H)

On paper Leicester and Chelsea are though but it’s probably wrapped up before Chelsea match.

We were sloppy today and a touch unlucky, it happens. Massive effort to win 21 in a row, congrats to the players, what an achievement!

Not bothered about the result today as I think the league is done, we won the only match against them we needed to this season so far.

All them rags are hurting even with this win, reminds me when we were shit and we beat them and they’d laugh and go on to win the league, karma is a woman :D
