United (H) - Post Match Thread

So today, in Tenerife started:
Breakfast -stupid fucking brummie in rag away shirt, clocking my City t-shirt “bet ewes ahr dreading today loik.” Me: What? Stupid twat says it again. Me: Sorry mate I can’t understand you. What part of Manchester are you from? I am from Blackley do you know it? He pissed off then.
Brekkers done and some sunshine to be had.
Next thing absolute barm pot from Sunderland rocks up with his missus and starts chatting. Loves City, his second team and I of course reciprocate that a lot of Blues have a soft spot for the Mackems.
His missus and mine start chatting and get on like a house on fire and said Mackem barmpot, called Ian, is prattling away like a good in in my direction and most of the time I can’t understand a thing he says! We’re stopping half board they’re all inclusive. You know the rest.
By kick off I was 3.5 sheets to the wind, I found a bar which was full of Leeds fans, who were alright to be honest and did want City to win. I nursed a pint and then had a couple of waters. Managed to get back to some kind of sobriety in time for our evening meal and got back to the room in one piece.
Wife’s birthday tomorrow, that’s why we’re here, so trying to properly sober up now so no hangover in the morning. God, I hope Ian isn’t around!!!!!
Zaparoccos all round.

Watched the game in full again today, a few observations, particularly of the Sly tv coverage:-

The only times Tyler raised his voice was for their goal and Fred’s chance. He didn’t shout again cos they didn’t have any other chances. All our goals and chances were quiet or silence;

Pogba should have been booked for a blatant pull back on 6 mins

Fernandes lashes out at Grealish, Tyler rather than condemning it says “oh he can be Mr grumpy”

13th minute Maguire cleans out KDB for the first time, rat boy says “there’s not much in that”

15th minute rat boy says City are playing on the break

Foden wrestled to the ground by Maguire, rat boy “6 of one, half a dozen of the other”

They score, Tyler shouts and rat boy says “they deserved that they’ve played Damon well”

Tyler describes sancho’s celebration as understated as is the way for former players!

Rat boy for the second goal “Foden’s bit of skill ALMOST deserved a goal

Ratboy “quite often you come to this ground and the games are drab”

32 mins Sterling hasn’t scored in 43 games against united for liverpool and City

Maguire blatant push in the back on Foden mentioned by neither of them

Tyler at half time “united deserved a goal”

Start of second half Tyler “united have by far the most PL wi s in any team trailing at half time”

Foden out muscles wan bizz Tyler “the ref doesn’t blue”

Maguire wipes out KDB again, Michelle brandishes the fastest yellow card ever, not even a thought of a red

Kev free kick - Fernandes hid in the wall then turned his back on it, allowing the ball to get through

71 mins 3 1 up - Tyler says “City’s celebrations coujd be a bit premature”

Mahrez had a shot on target which was preceded by 51 passes over a nearly 3 minute spell, beautiful football, not mentioned by the twats

84th minute ratboy says “normally this is where a two footed lunge from a Manchester united comes in”, Tyler “maybe it’s because they can’t get close enough”, rat boy “well you’d think one of them would at least try”. Despicable

No agenda though
Sounds like you had fun.

Not much in that really. Just a good tussle.
The camera angle is pretty much the angle Oliver had. Not much in it. What you can see is Foden's left arm, which isn't committing an offence. Maguire's left arm, around Foden's body, possibly holding him. Foden leaning on Maguire until he falls on top of him - potentially because he was being held and couldn't escape the grip. Then we just see Maguire's right hand, then Foden's. It looks like Maguire is holding Foden's arm until he releases it.

Then both players go to ground. Bernardo and Foden appeal for a foul. Telles raises his hand, then belatedly so does Maguire.

What does Oliver see to warrant a foul by Foden? There is nothing to indicate Foden fouled Maguire. Why didn't VAR take a look? There must have been other camera angles for that incident.

VAR looks at everything, but they'd never overturn that in a billion years, likewise if he'd given it.

I haven't seen it again, but it looked six of one half a dozen of the other in the stadium, and the defender will more often get the decision.

Came across this guy last night, bit of a chump but made me laugh when he starts going on about "little Citeh" across the road, confessing that it is Utd who are now "little Citeh"...complete reversal of roles....the guy is really upset about how far they have fallen...tremendous...about 6 minutes 10 seconds in

They can make as many of these videos as they like. The simple truth is that as long as the glazers are around they’re fucked. And that makes me incredibly happy
