United (H) | Post Match Thread

Listening to Neville in the 1st half you would have thought this game was a 50/50 that both teams were on a even keel, expecting more calmness in their play, wanting less forced passes etc etc

that's the problem with the rag hoards, they got a couple of decent results all be it lucky ones especially against Arsena/Liverpool (thanks) and they go into this game thinking they can match us

This result will and has put them back in their box and highlighted greatly the distance between the two teams, in facr looking at today's game taking away the sloppy last 10 and I recon the gap is bigger than ever

Great result, albeit the result flattered the Rags. First half we were on another planet to them and our quick slick passing and movement was a joy to watch.

Foden was exceptional today and back to level of performance from last season. As for Erling he is unstoppable, if he stays fit he will surely break the most goals scored in a PL season.

Scoreline flattered them considerably. Up to the 4 subs Pep made second half we were exceptional. Haaland and Foden both brilliant ably supported by Grealish, Bernie and Gundog. Shame the subs meant we were empty in midfield with only Bernie trying to stem their attacks and we gifted them 2 sloppy goals. Not sure if Ederson was bored today but his kicking out was as poor as I've seen it though he wasn't to blame for any of their goals.
Did he play for brasil past few days in s America?

A great great result but we will have to think something about those goals being leaked. Though game was over but still something we can work on
The thing is that Pep didn't take our back four off. But no protection for them now. The problem was inviting MU onto us by continually passing back to goalie. Pep had left Erling on but we didn't pass forward to him. Can understand, therefore why so many on here feel a bit gutted. But what a magical performance otherwise!

Wonderful first half spectacle.

Ive already stated i called it very wrong,i genuinely saw us struggling without the two powerhouses.....but that isn't a problem for me,the forum is for discussion and opinions,be them right or epically poor!

Individually there were half a dozen who were very special, the MOTM obviously Haaland and/or Foden, but Bernie and Akanji were superb. The latter has almost cemented a starting berth for me,he just has everything.

The subs killed the fixture a bit,but great to get minutes in those legs and protect our stars.

A great weekend all in all.

First half, wow, fantastic performance. Could, and perhaps should, have been 7 or 8 in front. We sat back a little at the start of the second half, allowed them back into it and I was disappointed to concede the first goal. The second and third were just daft and sloppy. It gives the score a more respectable appearance for them. Everyone knows though, we battered them.

Some sloppy play gave them a couple of undeserved goals but so fucking what.

City were unbelievable today. 4 up at half time, 2 different players getting hat tricks and finally seeing just how good Jack Grealish can actually be. I felt it was his best game so far in a blue shirt.

You could argue that our best centre back partnership wasn't available. Rodri wasn't available and Kyle went off before half time injured. Yet still, we completely embarrassed those clowns who were backed into 11/2 from 8/1 so many a fool has parted with their money.

Great to be blue.
The dippers will not compete with us and if we play like that against them Virgil will need more than his inhaler to keep it down to five or six and TAA will see things no one else sees when he gets his head stuck up his own arse. They are miles behind us and Arsenal are more of a danger in my eyes
