I remember the 90s Derbies vividly. Couple of Pyrrhic draws, but on the whole, wank. And I remember them regularly coming to Maine Road and dominating us. They were so much better.

But nothing remotely like that first 45 minutes.

We were like a tsunami. We absolutely destroyed them.

What a half!
It reminded me a little of when we got twatted all over the park by arsenal at maine road under joe royal, pretty sure it was 4-0 by half time that game. You just realised you were playing against a ridiculous team. We were even better than that today, and it was against united. Tremendous.

Fair point but honestly…who can beat you, other than yourselves?
You have answered your own question there. Some of us of a certain vintage know the potential to find a way is always there. Admittedly it does not occur as frequently as it did in the past but as per @twosips earlier post, it still rears it's head.

Think this group of players is probably at its peak this season.

I know we’d all love a 9-0 or even another 6-1 (we’ll give Anthony his moment) but I’m actually sensing from the reactions afterwards that it’s even more humiliating for them, knowing that we don’t really care about their two late goals. They know, we deep down know and the world knows we spanked them.
When Anthony scored we just upped it and scored two. Game over. Pep then went into experimentation mode as he does sometimes. The game was never in jeopardy and he learns more about the squad this way.

The real humiliation is that they were played off the park and then had time to turn the last 15 mins into a training exercise. We can score goals. Pep knows this and also knows we have sloppiness to work on.
At the end of the day. You only get 3 points. Move on to the next 3.

Best 45 mins I have seen from us for a while. The movement, the slick one touch passing and finishing especially from Haaland was lovely to watch. We ripped them to pieces and it should have been 6 at half time.

Until we stopped playing Pep Ball and started playing Bernardo & Gomez as our midfield, it was embarrassingly easy.

And, every viewer of that match KNEW that with 4 subs at once and players playing all over the place, Pep had already decided it was time to start preparing for a big game in midweek.

It LITERALLY should have been 10, and, crazy as it sounds, 6-3 flatters them no end, but it would be ridiculous to complain about the two sloppy goals at the end. The game was over as a contest before half time and after TWO HAT TRICKS, it was jelly and ice cream time!

Here’s hoping Walker is OK, Stones is only a week or so away, and Rodri’s tightness loosens up! Nice to get minutes in Laporte & Gomez, as they need to bed in for the long haul.

Jack & Phil are making defences shit themselves trying to stop BOTH their service and their ability to attract attention, with the likes of KDB, Bernie & Gundo lurking for the killer pass, and the Norwegian Meat Shield making grown men look like boys…and small ones at that!

What’s crazy is that THIS TEAM is not already 5 points clear and not even top of the League!!!

“This is how it feels to be City,
This is how it feels to be small…”

Love the bitterness seeping out of every pour of this fat twat.

Mentions we are not better than 3 teams from their past history (including the 2008 and 1999 team - we would take all of them apart....Peps team smashed that lot at their peak - it was men against boys in the CL final and it was like that today)

bitterness again when he says Haaland aint a boyhood city fan......hahahahah - getting desperate now trying to find something to grasp onto.
There is nothing better than watching this fat , odious , bitter gobshite suffering after another demolition! He must be ( and there is a very long list ) one of the most detestable rags to ever support that shower. Just looking at that ugly mug on his big head is bad enough but then he opens his gob! Might as well be Celtic! Hahahahahahahaha

Barney Ronay in The Guardian has a report on Haaland, City and Guardiola that is ecstatic, poetic and terrific.
