In a world of ugliness that was beautiful City - and for that I thank you - for a while today I forgot about all the rubbish we are going there and was completely and utterly happyYes, disappointed, but overall happy with any win over them
From our viewpoint in CBL3 the South Stand poznan was mighty imprressive.Fell like that Poznan must have looked pretty good on telly.
They got that in the first 45 minutes
Flattened you say...They won't feel flatteted
Totally understandable. We've got a manic schedule up until the World Cup (as has everybody else to be fair). He's got to manage the squad. How would you feel if he'd left Haaland on, and he did his ACL in the last five minutes?Pep and his substitutions
Set up from Pep was wrong...emptied the centre of midfield leaving only Bernardo (on since the start) there against fresher players. Gomez to inverted FB and Ake to LWB and Alvarez to inside right. We were overly weighted on the wide areas and far too light in central ones. No Rodri or Phillips meant Pep's hand was forced in the subs/formation he went to. Wonder if some of our players thought at 6-1 they would roll over and see out time with the white flag out ?I don’t think Pep was too happy with some of the players with his comments and I’ve a feeling the substitutes and a couple of others will be getting it in the ear tonight. Regardless of the changes being disruptive , some of the play after they came on was very sloppy.
The first half was magnificent at times.
Haaland, Foden, De Bruyne and Bernado were excellent and Grealish played well.
Liked the look of the new CB too and Ake. Cancelo still too sloppy in his defending for my liking. Edersons kicking woeful. Five times he found touch today!
I would have taken 1-0 so to see them humiliated once again was glorious. The site of half of their seats empty at 6-1 joyous!
