Love this place, you learn something new every day.

I just Googled 'Penwortham'. Never heard of the place.

I have this feeling this maybe Peps last season.
Not sure that some of the signings are pep type players.
Something doesn’t feel right. The drop off last season was far more than I expected. To have lost 2 of 3 at this stage is unheard of.
Pep needs to adapt as everyone is learning to play against his style. He will know that but will he waver too much from what he believes in?
Would not be surprised if we start next season with Vinnie in charge. Seems to be developing into a very good manager. Made a few mistakes but seems to have learnt from them.
He can clearly attract players and those he does buy are oven ready and hit the ground running.
I would be happy to see him come home.

Can you imagine the absolute state of the match day thread if this one is anything to go by?
Trust me coming from a family where my older sister and My dad and all his side of the family are reds, no one wants to win this game me, just think we are not very good at the moment. I hope I'm on 3 courses of humble pie come 6.30, I'll gladly eat that shit.

Probably been spoken about already but don’t like this comment from Erling before a big a game!

Manchester City are not the "same team anymore"

Think it’s unsettling to the rest of the team, surely saying that publicly is not a positive thing to say. Not sure what angle he is coming from at all.

The angle of truth?
I love he’s not a happy clapper.

Unsettling? We can’t play much worse can we? We’ve already lost 2/3.

Erling has always been blunt. Says it how it is, he's a winner wants to win all the time, that's always been his attitude.

Can be the turning point for the season, if we don’t win it, I Think we will go on with These bad performances trough the season. If we win this (I don’t Think we will) it will be a massive boost and everyone will be confident again in there abilities.

Today I think is the day the penny drops for people where they realise it’s not a blip, it’s not a bad patch.
We are just a very ordinary side.
We are at the stage where people say, yeah we won’t win it, just need to get top 4 etc.. Top 4 is not our current level. We are mid table at best standard and it’s a worry.

At the minute there’s not much anger due to what we’ve achieved in previous years but I just think a derby loss, again, and another bad defensive display will make people’s attitudes change. Not saying it will go toxic but fans can be pissed off. There’s nothing wrong with having high expectations and if the team and club aren’t achieving certain levels we should put more pressure on. It’s been a year now of averageness.

It’s a big big game today for us.
Think it’s very telling that a fair few rags I’ve spoken to think they have a good chance. That’s a sea change in what they’ve said going into recent derbies. Realistic blues have known for a good while we have regressed into the pack but now even those that don’t watch us week in week out are starting to see it too. The stature we’ve had in our team for over a decade has dropped big time. It remains to be seen if these players can build something new. It’s a big ask IMO. Today is 50/50. If we lose that table is going to look very ugly with arses away to come!!
