United States Of America

Its not everyone's cup of tea, but i love America. Ive been to quite a lot of the States over the past 10 years. Ive done California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhone Island, Conneticut, and what i love the most is the variety of the country, with great people, great food, great sights. Were going back for about 16 nights next May, probably heading out to California, Nevada and Arizona again. Who else loves the USA on here and where do you head for when going? I prefer to go off the beaten track a little. I really liked florida but to many Brits there for my liking.

Love the place, the people are ok, they want to police the world but other than that I like their outlook on life.

I've been living and working out here for a month and I love it. Here til September then its back to uni but I definitely want to come back out next summer, maybe even for a year. It's bloody brilliant.

I lived in Laguna Beach in California in the 80's for 2 years, absolutely loved it, bastards wouldnt let me stay forever so I came to Australia's California - Queensland :)

Ive always loved American stuff/culture, Blues, R n Roll, Fender Gibson Rickenbacker guitars, Levi jeans, cowboys/Indians, Batman.......love it all haha

I've driven all over the US and California is my favourite area. Huntington is a great little town. Surfing and skiing in the same day.
Laguna Beach was great in the day but felt very edgy once the sun went down, and this was in 2005. I believe it was a lot rougher back in the 80's?

Went over to the states 6 years ago, stayed in Boston for a few nights then spent five nights in New York, loved it! Not sure I could live there but I had a great time, found myself preferring Boston to NY.

Would love to go somewhere a bit different next time, I've heard Alaska is amazing?

Would love to do Alaska, my first holiday when I retire or win the lotto.

I enjoy going to the states
see California, Nevada, Utah, New York State, Washington DC, and New England, oh and Florida pah

the only problem is it's full of bleedin' yanks!

Love the states, travel there about 8 times a year for work and been to most of it. Favourite places are Denver, the Carolinas and San Fran.

Most people who dislike the country or the people have never even been....

Emigrated last September - love it here, no regrets at all (although watching City from afar win the League and parade the trophy got me homesick!). I live in a nice small town built around a beautiful lake, fantastic weather (dreading the lecky bill with the air conditioner on all day!), friendly people (the odd neighbour included!!).

Boston is 40 mins away on the slow train for the gigs / night out etc and the fantastic Cape Cod is 90 mins by car to the centre of it, bit longer to the tip.

In fairness,if you used to live in Moston you wouldn't regret emigrating to Helmand Province.
America is obviously a vast and varied country, much of it sparsely populated and beautiful, some of it crime ridden and scary.
I'm sure some of the people are quite nice too, although an awful lot of them make johnsonontheleft look like an Oxbridge professor.
