Re: Ferguson's unbelievable hypocrisy

Can't agree more. The best is he is so desperate to sign RVP he will do anything. Will be fun to watch the squabbling between him & shrek when they get awarded a pen. Did'nt that put at least 10 goals on both their last season tallys.

If he's on the pitch, would you ever not have Mario taking our penalties?

£27m on an 18 year old wayne rooney in 2004. yep worlds just gone made fergie......

According to the official United site they paid £30 million for him... £5m in ten years for an older international... that about adjusts for inflation i think.

Actually the government figures for inflation are not applicable to football transfers. The revenues of clubs have fat outpaced inflation increases and hence a different figure should be used for comparison.
ex. If you take something like the Premier league tv deal,
in 2003-2004 season, total PL tv deal value was abt 520 million pounds (460 domestic and 60 overseas)
in 2011-2012 season, total PL tv deal value was 1130 million pounds ( 650 domestic and 480 overseas)
this data indicates a multiple of about 2.2. So 30 million for rooney in 2004 is worth about 66 million pounds in today's football money terms.

You're forgetting one important thing.

United only ever spend self-generated cash whereas City and PSG don't. In fact, United have never had to rely on the money of a rich owner to fund their player purchases because they've always been the world's biggest football club since the day they were formed in 1878. John Henry Davies and James Gibson are figments of every bitter blue cunts' imagination....

Well, according to a few of my mates over on the Caf that is.

I do hope a decent journo picks him up on that one, it certainly can't go by without someone picking him up for sheer hypocrisy? Come on, we do have a free press don't we?

He didn't mind when united could buy the best of the best and offer them triple the wages of the chasing packs.

If he didn't squander 18m on de gay, 24m on young and 18m on Jones then he could have bought some class.

After they bullied spurs for Carrick and berbs (in the end levy got a good deal) I don't feel sorry for them at all

What do you mean?...............I thought those players had all come through their academy?

He's been spouting hypocritical bullshit for the past two decades. Journo's NEVER put a probing question to him to highlight the inconsistancies of his statements. They're either shit scared of getting banned from his press conferences or are just deluded.
