He was a very good player then and I was disappointed we didn't get him.
At least it softened the blow knowing that our interest forced the rags to pay an extra £10m

His performance in the League Cup game for 10 man Spurs at our place was the best oppo play I've seen in years. That said on the deadline day it was really just a case of pissing off Baconface and costing them money they couldn't afford.

Berbatov would have been a good player for us from 2008-10 but I think he would have got sold in 2010 if he was with us.
