Their defense looked awful in the highlights, I didn't watch the game though. What formation did they play? Diamond?

I'm sure if you look in the collins book of phrases for the term ''scraping a win'' it will just say ''see manchester united''

results aside does anyone else think the rags look shittier with every passing game.

truthfully, player for player and position for position i wouldnt swap any of there first eleven for ours

They really are that bad. The problem is now 1 can punish them cuz of the bias reffing or the random bullshit that constitutes a united game. Or one of there fluky goals they seem to spring up and score time and time again.

When you have a weak midfield then you can always be overrun by teams with stronger midfields. That's United's problem at the moment. They are far from useless. If Vidic ever gets back there defence it will strengthen their defence. Rafael is improving week by week. De Gea has a weakness for crosses, but if he can conquer this, he has the makings of a world class keeper. That apart they have the best collection of wingers in the league with Nani, Valencia and Young.

Kagawa has just moved to a different league and already has 2 goals and is linking up well with the rest of the team. Ferguson made a good point that RVP has had no preseason, adjusting to a new club and has managed 7 goals.

Vidic, Nani, RVP and Carrick would all get into your starting line up at the moment for me. Valencia, Kagawa and Rooney would all be challenging strongly and play their fair share of matches.

Good points but still there team has far to many flaws in it to be considered title contenders.

1. they have an awful defense (even when vidic was playing this season). you can say its due to lack of midfield which is leading the back 4 to be stretched and exposed but its actually evera and rafeal not doing there jobs and forgetting they actually have to play defense more then anything.

2. They have no midfield. The fact scholoes has to play regularly and in the big games tells you how pathetically shit they are in mid field. they cant press the ball due to scholes age. and even when sir cleaverly comes in hes more of a passenger then a conductor. and anderson is awful. carrik just cuts the mustard but barley and hes not getting any younger.

3. The only positive they have in attack is RVP. lets face it without him they would have lost against Southampton and possibly lost another game. rooney is decent player, nani is a no show for a while now. welbeck is overrated garbage anyways. and the lesbian is a no show. And this kagawa guy. hes a class player when playing for bvb. he could potentially be a fantastic player for them but in the last 2 games hes played some awful football and has been invisible. also DDG sadly will prolly become a top goalkeeper if he sorts his air game.

So in general they have a substandard team that will be found out big time this season when they play the big teams and even the likes of stoke or westbrom ect. they are not title contenders one bit.

Vidic can't stay healthy for 2 days let alone displace one of our CBs. They have one rapist and that's it. They are no better than Newcastle.
