Sky could be covering non-league Finnish football and the commentator will find a way to harp on about manyoo.

".... yep back in 1997 David Beckham had the little resort town just up the road as his 49th preferred holiday destination. Woooo wasn't that side great with Giggsy, Keaney and Scholesy."

The BBC are as bad as Sky. In their online review of last night's Cops del Rey final they mentioned Ronaldo 3 times, and on every occasion they called him 'ex Manchester United player Ronaldo'. You really couldn't make this shit up.

More evidence of united's shifting position towards Liverpool. A policy of flattery which is designed to soften Liverpool up. A policy that has clearly worked of late. Liverpool performances against united in recent years have been feeble - and with good reason. People are often complimentary about you when they're taking advantage of you. Could you ever imagine Taggart and Giggs waxing lyrical about one of our players like this as they just did about Carragher?

Ferguson:

Jamie is absolutely a player I admire. He’s the epitome of a loyal, dedicated player who Liverpool have been lucky to have for more than a decade.

He’s been a bedrock of their defensive qualities for years and years. I loved him. Jamie's is a fantastic example for any young lad that wants to play the game.

He’s been a really, really good professional. He’s absolutely the type of player a manager wants. I used to rave about Brucie [Steve Bruce] and the nine years he had with us, and I think Jamie Carragher is that exact same mould - can play with injuries, gets knocked about and gets back up, hardly misses a game.

You’re lucky to have players like that. I was lucky to have Steve Bruce and Jamie is the same type of player. A fantastic player.

Ryan Giggs

It’s a massive loss to Liverpool. You’ve got him, Steven Gerrard and then the likes of me, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville, who have all been one-club players.

We’ve seen so many changes within our clubs. But it’s not only Carragher’s influence on the pitch [that will be missed], I’m sure he has a massive influence off it as well.

An influence on how the club and how the dressing room should be run and the traditions and the history of the club. You pass these things down to the young payers who are coming through and the foreign players who come in.

I’m sure Jamie has been a massive influence, both on and off the pitch. That will be greatly missed by Liverpool.

Keep sucking it up Liverpool. Bend over, safe in the knowledge that you are united's "big" rivals. Another 'nul points' for LFC against united next season methinks.

Must have dreamt about Suarez racism row ;)

No Shrek in the squad tomorrow
Bacon giving him time off for birth of his second child.

Love how they still try and spin this

Their PR team is powerful indeed to go as far as impregnating Coleen!

2012. City Wins title. Premier League Manager of the year Alan Pardew (which I think is correct as he did a great job last season with Newcastle).

2013. Utd win title. Premier League Manager of the year is Ferguson. Personally thought Laudrap should have won it, trophy in 1st season etc. Everton win today and record ever points tally for them also.

Don't see how Mancini did not win it but Ferguson did. Well we all know why....
