Read something recently saying share price could shoot up and was a good buy so this fall is indeed surprising.

Something up I hope.

That much? A big drop, think the markets have dropped an average of 10% in that time

Financial website Benzigna claimed that "the large cash disbursement for the defender does affect Manchester United's finances, who only reported cash of $113m as of the last filing." ???

Garay is hardly a top-ranked defender, at Real Madrid Mourinho decided he wasn't even good enough as a back-up and I don't think he's a regular starter for Argentina. £17m is a little steep I'd say. IIRC he played against us while on loan at Racing Santander in the UEFA Cup in 08/09.

Is Smalling ever going to make the step up or are they waiting long enough so everyone forgets he cost close to 20 mill and wheel him out as Home grown? They've both been there what 4 years? Who spends close to 40 million on two Centre Backs and still doesn't trust them after 4 years?
