9.2% is quite a bit above that isnt it. anyone any idea of the cause?

Financial website Benzigna claimed that 'the large cash disbursement for the defender does affect Manchester United's finances, who only reported cash of $113m as of the last filing.' Nevertheless, they should be able to afford a signing of this size without too much difficulty.

Surely £17m isn't a lot to the RAGS.

Could just be a institution selling at the wrong time, otherwise its related to management or finance issues, transfers don't effect the stock price in this way...

Sometimes a drop is a reflection of something specific, a lot of the time it's more a gut feeling that perhaps the future isn't looking so rosy.
 
Read something recently saying share price could shoot up and was a good buy so this fall is indeed surprising.

Something up I hope.
