Just wondering if someone could help me with my maths. According to the (rag) press Moyes has £60mil to spend, and the tranny and Bale (both aparently worth £80mil - ish) are about to go there. This leaves around a £100mil shortfall - or do spuds and barca feel that the lure of working for Moyes is so great they will slash the price by around 70%?

But your forgetting there selling Nani for 25, Evra for 20, could fetch 35 for "little lesbian" and use there illustrious history in order for the teams to reduce the price.

Baines is also going to go there on a free as leaving present from Kenwright to Gollum!

(The problem with the press - We buy players and we're splurging and spending like there's no tomorrow. They get linked with players for more than we've currently spent and it's like it's meant to happen).

Usual rag / twitcher trick of keeping fans happy by being 'in' for players way beyond their means, while actually signing a couple injury prone has-beens on a free. tick-tock

Gollom special on talkshite earlier.

Getting the media prepared for his brilliance.....

Very interesting comments by Mourinho, if true it could be interpreted that slur was sounding him out as his first choice....

Jose Mourinho 'would have turned down Manchester United'

Comments (200)
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claims he knew months ago of Sir Alex Ferguson's plans to stand down as Manchester United boss, but says he was always intent on returning to Stamford Bridge.
Ferguson, 71, left Old Trafford last month after 26 years in charge and has since been replaced by David Moyes.
Mourinho said: "I knew that Ferguson was retiring many months ago.
"I would have turned down every job in the world - the Manchester United job, every one - for Chelsea."

Mourinho aiming for 'stability' at Chelsea
The Portuguese, who won the Premier League twice during his first spell in charge at Chelsea, has signed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge after leaving Real Madrid.
Mourinho, 50, had long been linked with replacing Ferguson at United but insists that he was only interested in a return to Chelsea - despite being told of Ferguson's plans.
"I am so happy with his [Ferguson's] trust because it was big news for the world - I can imagine that just a very small circle around him knew that, and it was a big responsibility for me to know that," he said.
"Why do I know that? Because we are friends, so if I am his friend to know that he is going to retire, he is also my friend to know that the club I want to coach in England is Chelsea.
"Of course I told him I want to come to Chelsea. I would turn down every job in the world for Chelsea."
Mourinho has also warned his players that they will have to work hard to fit in once they start pre-season training at the start of July.

So Moyes was actually third choice behind Mourinho and Ancelotti - that's assuming they didn't already get turned down by Klopp, Pellergrini etc..

Utter shite. No one, absolutely no one would turn down not just the world's biggest club, but also the chance to be the head of a team with over 650m fans. Moyes will do it the Rag way, and that's why he's been groomed for the job since he was at Preston!

Pffftt.......Ancelloti and Mourinho my arse!

It's not actually but there you go it's true Moyes was"groomed" but only from about 3 to 4 years ago, there is a reason they went for him and you will see it in this transfer window after all if Arsenal & Liverpool can still coin it in winning nothing what's the point in throwing more money at it 3rd or 4th little difference from 1st in terms of money

Much as I try, much as I strain my eyes by reading that piece over and over, I still see no sign of the words "snub", "snubs" or "snubbed" contained therein.

Perhaps it is the presence of actual quotes in that article that prevents the use of those words, unless, of course, there's another reason that I can't quite put my finger on.....

Classy as ever, the not so special one is just trying to tell everyone that the reason the rags didn't pick him was that he'd already made it clear he wanted the Chelsea job and no other.

They snubbed him, just like we did, but his ego won't allow people to think this is true. He really is a tool. Great manager, possibly the best in the world but this just shows that it's still all about Jose and always will be. For me it's just confirmation that we did right by spurning his advances.

Let's not kid ourselves. The rags would have had him in a heartbeat except he wants to splurge cash which they don't have. That leaves us and the chavs. Ambramnovich clearly thinks Jose is a ****, but he is a **** that wins things if you throw enough cash at him and Roman has deep pockets. I'm pretty sure the sheik would just regard him as a slightly embarrassing clown who happens to be succesful in the short term - and for that reason we declared ourselves out.
