I wouldn't say Utd were lucky, I'd say their game plan worked* and Bayern didn't have the urgency to break them down.

*Contrary to the way the game has been reported, Utd are in a worse position than when the game started. They have conceded an away goal and now either have to win 1-0 or score more than one. Neither of which I'd say are very likely

The one clear cut chance in the game fell to them.
Bayern were way below par, and created precious little, despite overwhelming early possession.
From a purely objective viewpoint, I thought the result was pretty fair myself.

26% possession, the lowest recorded by a home side ever in the Champions League, another accolade for wee Davey's CV.

That stat alone tells you how fortunate they were..... Don't you think?

I thought that Barcelona had 89% possession at Parkheid a couple of years ago. Didn't stop Celtic from winning 2-1 though!

When did possession equate to deserving to win? Bayern rarely threatened and as NF said, the only real chance of the game fell to wellbeck. If de gea had played a complete blinder and bayern had peppered the united goal i may agree, but they didnt. They never really looked like scoring.
