Shame I was hoping for a bit of snubbage, but obviously world class players such as Kroos, Muller or Fabregas aren't brought up in the United way, homegrown and organically produced, I have no doubt he will get the players he wants so no taking the piss out of them just yet. :-)
 
But, but...., I thought just the name and the history would be enough to attract any player?

Wages and not being in the CL should be irrelevant.

Well you can't deny the footballing knowledge over there. It's certainly never occurred to me that losing 4 genuine world class players would hurt us in any way.
 
Well Aguero only played nineteen games and Kompany was missing a bit too but we still won two trophies of the four we were competing for.
 
You mean losing our 4 best players would make us weaker?

I am going to break a lifetime tradition.... I am going to praise the rags, to be fair it is the PR machine I am praising, it is absolutely brilliant. They have had the press and their gullible fans hanging on for weeks about who they are going to sign, including the manager. At the same time they have fed the press line after bullshit line about which players they are signing, all of them world class and all of them will have them winning the League at a canter they are so good.
The long and short of it is their PR dept. have kept a 7th placed club in the headlines for over a month whist the rags do very little. Tom Cruise is signing, the first of 5 (6) (7 ?) world class players Van Gall has lined up. Loads renew their season ticket and then it is leaked that actually Kroos isn't the right type of player. Note, Kroos hasn't turned them down.... they have decided he is not a player THEY want !!!

I think our Vicky does a great job but she should go on a 6 month secondment to learn how to really bullshit/lie/cheat.
