I reckon they will finish ahead of us again.

You have already told us that on another thread, if your that confident get down the bookies and put some money on it

I did that months ago!!

So months ago, before we signed anyone you popped down to the bookies and placed a bet on them to finish above city (don't say us, you know why)?? Riggggghhhttt

One time offer to you and you only - 10/1 min bet £50 sheets that 'your' lot don't.....better than any high street odds!!!!

We already know that Van Persie is a fantastic striker and if you defend like Swansea did he'll murder you. However, I have to say that I saw nothing apart from him to worry about yesterday. What I did see was a weak midfield, who kept giving the ball away, and a defence that looked very iffy and if Swansea had their shooting boots on would have made it very difficult.

Im confident we will finish about the Rags.

Doesn't really work having a balanced view on here, we all know the rags are about to become bankrupt, have shit players,a shit manager, other teams gift them wins and now pisscan has gone they will be in the conference in the near future

Stick to this delusion and you will be fine

What they also do particularly well is exploiting that 5-10 minute window after they score where the opposition's heads have fallen off and scoring another.

Kills the opposition's spirit and mentally crushes the opposition's manager. Basically pretty much wins them the game (most of the time).

We really need to be doing the same this year.

I think this is a really good point, and I'm optimistic that Pellegrini's instructions will be to go for the jugular once we take the lead. At 0-1 Swansea would have still felt capable of at least a draw, but that almost immediate second goal would've annihilated their confidence.

I have never known a United side to be so dependent upon one player. They have always had World Class players in their side, whether it was Cantona, Beckham, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy or Scholes, but the supporting cast were always of a very high level too. If Ronaldo had a poor game, then Rooney stepped up, or Scholes, or Giggs. Now however they've got Van Persie, and he's in excellent form, but if he has a poor game, or picks up an injury, who steps up then? Rooney isn't the player he was, and despite what he or the club might say, doesn't really want to be there, Giggs should have retired a couple of years back, and the rest? Welbeck? Please. Valencia? He has one move, and everyone now knows it. Cleverley? Average at best. Compare them to City, remove Aguero, and we've enough replacements for it not to be catastrophic. Yaya missing? He was for nearly 2 months the last 2 seasons, and we won the league in one of those. Silva? Nasri is a ready made replacement. Kompany and Hart are probably our hardest to replace, but losing either would still not affect us as badly as United losing Van Persie.

I'm not saying United are a spent force, far from it, but their fate sits very much on the shoulders of Van Persie. He's avoided injury the past couple of seasons, but his record prior to that isn't good, and he's just turned 30 too so, by most normal measures injuries are more likely, as is a natural drop off in things like pace and general stamina.
