Manchester United: Plane aborts landing in Germany

Manchester United's plane had to abort its landing 400m above the runway as they flew to Germany for the Champions League tie with Bayer Leverkusen.

The plane landed safely at the second attempt at Cologne/Bonn airport ahead of Wednesday's match.

The club declined to comment, but Rio Ferdinand said : "Landed in Germany....just....I've only just recovered after that choppy landing!"

United will qualify for the last 16 with a win at the Bay Arena.

I see they came up with a good excuse when they get hammered by leverkusen.

I work with two plastics that never go and I try to avoid football talk with them, they only ever mention football when City lose, they certainly prefer to talk about us losing than them winning.

Rag at our place is a clown. Tried to defend Rooney's assault on Cardiff player although he later admitted he didn't watch the game.
He then said our midfield was like there's! Yeah that's right Cleverley, Carrick etc... just like Dinho and Yaya!
The neutral in the office just sat there pissing himself.
