I have just started a new job in London and low and behold it did not take long to encounter the obligatory plastic rag waxing lyrical about the swamp and (his) team.. Only took me 10 seconds to find out he had never been to the swamp and could only name 6 of the rags squad. He was also delighted to let me know that he knew City had only ever won the league & FA Cup once in their history. Suffice to say he stays well clear of me now....!

I once worked with a Welsh plastic rag who was always giving it out large during their period of dominance. I found it strange as I'd originally always thought he was more into rugby. While taking the piss I once asked him how long he'd been a United fan. His reply - and this is really what he said - "For years. Ever since I stopped supporting Leeds."

Work with 2 non match attending united fans. Both got excellent knowledge of the game and readily admit united are carrying 4/5 ordinary players and don't think Jones/Smalling/Januzaj are hybrids of Moore/Messi/Ronaldo. Also want Yaya, Aguero, Komps, Zabs in their team and don't gloat when (rarely) they beat us!

The majority of the lads at work are Rags but only one of them actually goes to games (SC holder). He's fine when talking about football in general, the rest haven't got a clue about what happened last season let alone last weekend.

but Kagawa is twice Bundesliga player of the season and has won more club trophies than Nasri and Silva. i say he is better than both of them, its just that Moyes doesnt have a clue how to use him. i would have him starting ahead of Rooney anyways because despite Rooney playong well at the moment, he is playing in a position whereby he is supposed to be making defense splitting passes but he isnt.
