The answer is yes, if you're talking about the league. If they were twelve points behind Arsenal and in second, then maybe, but to expect Arsenal, City and Chelsea to all capitulate is asking way too much.
Perhaps the title is beyond them, but we are 6 points above them. They could beat Newcastle, and we could lose to Southampton and we still have to go there.
Marvin, we have a 6 point cushion (7 with goal diff which they won't make up) and we will improve our away form for the remainder of the season.

Silva, Kompany and Jovetic have hardly played and who knows whether we may get an opportunity to bring a top player in during January?

Very confident that we'll extend the gap by the end of the season.
I'm confident too, but there are some people who think the Evil Empire has already crumbled and that the writing is on the wall. There's still the January transfer window to take into account, and the potential return of RVP. Last season they were poor for long stretches but time after time, RVP would do something special and rescue them.

Until City totally get over this away game hoo doo (avoiding defeat at Southampton will help convince me) then I am not going to get over-confident. It's been a funny old season. We beat CSKA Moscow 5-2, Norwich 7-0 and then go to Sunderland and can't score. So let's see City vanquish the away demons, and when that's done, we can say with confidence that we are on the march again.

With all the hype surrounding Everton's victory at the swamp the media seem to be forgetting that we turned Everton over at our place
Surely the hype about the Utd - Everton game is not hype about Everton winning, but hype about Utd losing at home and their 12 point gap on the leaders i.e. it's all about Utd in crisis.

Marvin, good poster though he is, does sometimes descend into the pessimistic it has to be said.

ARGGGGHHHH we're fucked.

Jack, as you are a decent poster (for a rag) can you expand on your, and your fans feelings right now about the situation?

personally I find it hilarious :o)

I don't know what to think if i'm honest. The squad is incredibly average so I feel unable to judge Moyes properly. We need to spend big. Ironic when that's one stick many United fans have used to beat clubs like yourselves, Chelsea, PSG etc, but it's true. You just can't expect to be challenging with a center half and a 40 year old in midfield. And will someone please tell me what Valencia does? We need him, Rio, Young, Anderson, Buttner and the other dead weight gone by the start of next season.

Moyes needs to start adapting to United fast. He fails to beat any of the big teams away, and Martinez does it at the first attempt. Smalling isn't a right back, Jones isn't a midfielder, Giggs isn't a cm, Kagawa isn't a winger, Welbeck is barely a player and Zaha is not fucking your daughter. So get the twat playing ffs.

Rant on Moyes over, we need to get our shit together. The players have to take responsibility too. Gutless. Rio and Fellaini two of the worst offenders.

Fair play to you Jack and fair play for coming on here after last night.

I think we've spoken before about the systemic, age related problems in your squad. I reckon it could take north of £150 million to repair the structural shortcomings if you're to get back to realistically challenging the European elite, such as Barca, Madrid and City ;-)

De Gea apart (who I think is top class) your defence needs completely rebuilding in the next 12 months imo. Given the importance of a back four having game time together that is an enormous task.

It's a good point, also raises again the question of our midfield. How many top teams change their central midfield pairing every week and remain successful? Same goes for the center backs.

In my opinion we need at least 4 new signings to go into the first 11, and a fifth to challenge Carrick. He's our best midfielder, but his pace doesn't allow us much room for manoeuvre with 2 in midfield. A quicker box to box player e.g Vidal (HAHAHAHAHA will never happen) please. And however much other clubs can see we're up shit creek and will hold us to ransome, we just need to bite the bullet and slap the red wallet down.

--------------De Gea----------------
Rafael--NEW----Vidic-----NEW
NEW---Carrick--NEW----Nani
--------Rooney--Van Persie----

Vidic is on the wane but he will do for now. Jones, Smalling and Evans can all stake a claim soon but we need a cb at his peak.

Baines/Coentrao/Shaw? In any case Evra is in his last season.

New winger, ideally i'd love Reus/Sanchez but we need someone if they're not attainable.

New creative cm. Modric/Gundogan/Cabaye?

A younger box to box cm.

Ok so perhaps none of my ideal targets are attainable but they're just examples really of the type of players we need.

Thanks. Cleverley is a squad player at best but Januzaj I have high hopes for. (Is that who you were referring to?) But I hope he'll end up as a number 10 rather than a winger.

Jack

what is your honest opinons of Jones, Smalling and Cleverly?

Personally, I think they are all average at best and will be playing for S'land, Villa etc, I was gonna say Everton but I cab't see a move up the table being on the cards for them!

I think now would be a good time to remind them how they used to hold up GPC's quarter-century tenure as evidence of their horrible club having class. "We stick with our managers, we stand by them..."

Stand by this clueless Gollum lookalike then, you twats.
