Jack, as you are a decent poster (for a rag) can you expand on your, and your fans feelings right now about the situation?

personally I find it hilarious :o)

I don't know what to think if i'm honest. The squad is incredibly average so I feel unable to judge Moyes properly. We need to spend big. Ironic when that's one stick many United fans have used to beat clubs like yourselves, Chelsea, PSG etc, but it's true. You just can't expect to be challenging with a center half and a 40 year old in midfield. And will someone please tell me what Valencia does? We need him, Rio, Young, Anderson, Buttner and the other dead weight gone by the start of next season.

Moyes needs to start adapting to United fast. He fails to beat any of the big teams away, and Martinez does it at the first attempt. Smalling isn't a right back, Jones isn't a midfielder, Giggs isn't a cm, Kagawa isn't a winger, Welbeck is barely a player and Zaha is not fucking your daughter. So get the twat playing ffs.

Rant on Moyes over, we need to get our shit together. The players have to take responsibility too. Gutless. Rio and Fellaini two of the worst offenders.

Like i said before your a top poster compared to the deluded cult that is ragecafe. You say it how it is thats all i ask tbh.. I said your shit stained club will not even make top 6 and i still stand by it.. But what u need is to fukin invest into the midfield if Sir clev, and Jizzzzayah are your future midfield then im sorry your royally fucked and will fall harder then liverpool (which i hope happens :P).

Manchester City 3 Everton 1.

I have gone off you.

Sorry Jack,
Martinez still hasn't beaten a top team away!

You will know when they are officially on the wane when players who`ve only made a handful of substitute appearances in the League Cup and meaningless friendlies stop commanding multi million pound transfer fees. The same can be said with the wank players that they have in their squad.
Over the years its pissed me off that the likes of Bruce, Allardyce, Robson, Holloway etc have paid big bucks for their reserves/cast offs that have enabled them to go out and rebuild.
Lets hope the rest of the football world now realise that the likes of Nani, Anderson, Buttner are average at best, and when they move the transfer fee no longer includes the "MUFC premium".
Bu,t it will be too much to ask that Hodgson comes to term with the fact that just because they play for "them" then they must be good.

what is your honest opinons of Jones, Smalling and Cleverly?

Personally, I think they are all average at best and will be playing for S'land, Villa etc, I was gonna say Everton but I cab't see a move up the table being on the cards for them!

Out of the three of them I have the highest hopes for Jones, as long as we actually play him at center back. He could develop into a great player. Smalling to a lesser extent, but it's hard to say where he will end up. Same goes for him position-wise. Cleverley i'll agree isn't good enough. He's 24 and I cant see him building on what he already has.<br /><br />-- Thu Dec 05, 2013 8:31 pm --<br /><br />

Haha I think I had the stats mixed up. I think what I meant was Moyes hadn't beaten United at Old Trafford in 11 years, yet his successor does so immediately.

I don't know what to think if i'm honest. The squad is incredibly average so I feel unable to judge Moyes properly.

surely the fact that he has the same squad Ferguson had, added Fellani to it and look at his record compared to Fergusons with the same squad is enough to judge Moyes. And the fact Everton look better without him. Even Wigan won a cup, Swansea too. Everton won nothing under Moyes and all this "done well at Everton despite spending no money" is bullshit as he actually spent quite abit

In fairness the entire squad was RVP. Without him you are nothing. He's not the same player he was last year. At 30 years old with a history of injuries United gambled on an immediate return. Not realizing that they have so many more areas of concern.

Put Mourinho in charge of United and they would be not be doing worse than Chelsea at the moment. If United were to sell RVP, Rooney, De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Kagawa, Nani etc they would all end up in top 10 clubs in Europe to say the least. Their squad even with the weaknesses it had should be top 4.

Fair play, mate.
I look at Utd fans and I'm reminded of that film, Invasion of the Bodysnatchers. There's still the odd unaffected one, like yourself, around here & there, but the rest have all been got at by the zombies. (Bear with me, I do have a point here, honest).

For a long while now, the Utd propaganda machine has been getting away with all sorts of stuff & nonsense. The media, happy for a steady stream of tales to peddle to a large unquestioning (zombie-like) audience, have been eager to oblige in relaying and often even enhancing the narrative of how unfailingly wonderful all things Utd are.
For example, as recently as last week, Jeff Stelling, in his Sky website column, was actually urging the world to believe that Moyes had got to grips with the big job and was now getting the best out of Anderson, Fellaini and the rest. What with the backbone of the England team to boot, well... you've got the gist. Nobody - and I do very, very nearly mean, nobody - in the media would have dared write anything else. Certainly, nobody in the media openly questioned it. And Stelling's article is just one of thousands.

Stay awake, I'm nearly at the point!

The thing is that the stuff & nonsense from Utd's PR machine will not stop at anytime soon. In fact, if the downward spiral continues (& it will), it will probably only increase out of desperation. That's begun already. Ed Woodward's rationalisation of the effects of falling out of the top four (quoted earlier in this thread) is the thin end of the wedge. Sure, that can be easily identified by most Utd fans as a realignment of the marketing strategy being prioritised over investment in the squad (they're not that dumb) but what nobody seems to be alarmed by is that he can get away with actually saying it out loud. Can you imagine if Bill Kenright said it was dandy for Everton to just survive and never look for the means to progress? The Toffees would lynch him. But the CEO of Manchester United has just rolled out this acceptance of the inevitability of failure out as the future, without any repercussions to his position.

The problem (yep, we finally got there) for you, sane Utd fans, is that, after decades of being bullshitted, there is no longer a critical vocabulary amongst the overwhelming swathe of Utd "fans" - the zombies, if you will.
But the zombie horde is where the money is!
That lot will swallow whatever they're told as long as a soothing voice reassures them that Utd are really the best, whilst the money men are throwing it into them.

Actually, forget Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, it's far more Orwellian than that.
Your lot are in serious trouble and nobody is going to write that article, nobody will broadcast that truth because there's too much money to be made out of living the lie. Problem, what problem? It's Utd, bestest team in whole world. What are you handful of non-believers on about.

then again couldnt see any of those at madrid possible rooney but a bit of a liability along with rvp and i bet mourinho is kicking himself for going to ot for the draw now

After 26 years of continual success, the daft f***ers really are deluded.

Some of them are still convinced they are the same team that won the treble.

The critics and league table would certainly do a fantastic job of deceiving us into thinking United are on some sort of catastrophic decline. But are we really that far off the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid? <a class="postlink" href="http://www.redcafe.net/threads/what-do-united-need-to-become-the-best-team-in-the-world.380193/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.redcafe.net/threads/what-do- ... ld.380193/</a>

Love this answer - 'a left back'.

So that's it then, once they get Baines they'll motor!

The OP is still clinging on to the hope that fake will return to the swamp. Did he not notice the prancing lady-boy signed a new contract in the summer?

And as for Messi; just LOL!

Deluded isn't the word for it.

the bottom line is they need to spend in excess of 150 million to update the squad and thats if it works out 'the signings' if not they then have to spend a further 50 million and get rid of the dead wood and moyes, moyes would cost them 25 million and the same again to bring in a houshold name manager, they havnt got the cash 'its finished'

Funny, but far from disastrous with nearly 2/3s of the season to go.

City or Chelsea should win the league, but even the suggestion the Mancs might not make top 4 is wishful thinking.

Oh fucking really!!!

The ferguson tag has now worn off...the moyes tag is picking up momentum..

scum dont scare anyone anymore and the bullied will fight back with a vengeance..

6th or 7th is best the scum can hope for,and thats if those around them have a purple patch..

good times....nay!!!,great times are ahead..

I heard that the scum will walk out to Yazz- 'the only way is up' for the rest of the season!! :)<br /><br />-- Thu Dec 05, 2013 9:53 pm --<br /><br />

Good job they didn't as we'd be 9 behind.
Beat me to it. Some are concerned purely on what united are doing in comparison to us, when the bigger picture is actually to catch the leaders.

He says on a 'united' thread..

What a thing to write on the pre-emininent MANCHESTER CITY forum.

This idiot should know better, surely?

There's an interesting thread on Redcafe appraising their current set of players - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.redcafe.net/threads/the-opposition-view-our-squad.380333/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.redcafe.net/threads/the-oppo ... ad.380333/</a>

Most realize that their players are nowhere near as good as they thought, though one did say that Carrick the best central midfielder in the league and Evans is one of the best CBs in the league.
