It's all well and good taking the mick out of United, but I hate to keep saying it, but it's not a good idea to take the jokes too seriously, because the demise is not going to last long.

To sound risk sounding like Yoda, "Do not underestimate the dark side of Manchester."

City are the only team in the league too good for them and the only team that can put on a run and leave them in a dust. Sadly they can easily go on a huge run and get something like 27/33 points. If City play properly then there is nothing to worry about, because you will walk the league, but they are still going to be there or there about with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.
it'll be a travesty if that team accomplishes anything this season. They don't even look like they can beat teams below 7th, more like teams in relegation battle (even WBA and Cardiff took points off them). Unfortunately, they are going through a section of the schedule where these are the types of teams they are facing, but after Hull and Norwich, it gets tougher with Tottenham and Chelsea in January.

There little unbeaten run who have they actually played? They will be battling for fourth spot if they are lucky
The point is, who is there to play? The league is not made up of Barcelona's, Bayerns and Man City's. It is made up of Palace's, Norwich's, Sunderland's, Hull's etc.

The Christmas period also favours those with big squads.

I absolutely echo your sentiments Supercrystal7, Ushited can't compete with us directly - our players man for man shit all over them - and for once since watching City since 84/85 they are scared to play us and every one of our starting 11 is superior to theirs BUT like he said - they don't play us every week. The rags are more than capable of beating most - if not all - of the teams placed 6th to 20th, they may have lost Baconface but they are still Ushited - they won the league last year (although I believe we threw it away more than they won it) and still have good players. I don't think they'll be a threat this year but like a fucking wasp I do think they'll be buzzing around for a little while yet.
Exactly, but you really need to be incredibly motivated for the League Cup final. A good victory there will knock all of their confidence and keep them trophiless.

my god i got a few bites on twitter today

gary neville was blowing his trumpet about the amount of english players in the united squad, all i did was say that explains the league position lol

Cant argue with the truth fella..

We won the League when the difference was 8 points with 6 games to play.

The difference now between United and the top is 8 points with 21 games left to play.

It is too early to write them off.

We and they need to get there yet - although over 2 legs I fancy us against most teams. We're also capable of cocking up 1 off games. Cardiff, Villa, Sunderland (every fucking year almost) and obviously wigwam. Like you I do think that us v them in the coc final and a hefty defeat for the rags could and hopefully will knock the stuffing out of them for a good few weeks. Looking forward to it - it's shaping up to be a cracking season!

It is too early to write them off.

Difference then was we were second they were top and as you state we made 8 points up in 6 games with the added advantage of having to play them at home.

Now they have to hope the Gooners, Chelski, Bin Dippers and us fook up, and that doesn't even take into account the blue bin dippers.
