Lets just hope the buffoon can keep himself in the job long enough to do some real damage, if he can see out this month then i think he will last till the end of the season. Just hope he keeps the fuckers out of europe, even out of the europa league dont want them getting any extra income at all!

I am usually disappointed to see a club experience financial trouble, but I make an exception when it is United. If they don't get top 4 then they are in huge amounts of trouble. Rooney and RVP will leave.

The smart thing would be to fire Moyes, who has done a horrendously bad job and bring in someone better, but luckily they are too 'classy' to fire under performing managers.

Also they should spend big in January. In England we are aware of just how bad they are and the huge amount of trouble they are in. I don't think footballers in other areas yet realise just how much. If they come outside the top four meaning RVP and Rooney in transfer request then they will struggle to attract. Probably worth the gamble overpaying for players now.

The situation reminds me of Barcelona, before Ronaldinho went there. The difference is Barcelona actually had money to spend and fantastic youth players coming through. They tried to get Beckham and he rejected them, even Owen did. If Barcelona can suffer that much then so can United, who are in huge amounts of debt.

Moyes in charge for another 1 and a half could turn them into a top 6 club along with the Glazers.

Reckon you are wrong there Crystal, with so many players from abroad playing here now, do you really think any player contacted by yoonited won't be straight onto the phone to International teammates already in the Premier League or even previous club teammates, asking what the situation is?

I don't think too many of the elite players across the world will want to play for Moyes, or an upper midtable club, that's what they are becoming.
Maybe, but I don't think many of the younger players do have good friends playing in the Premier League. Do you think Schurrle is aware of just how bad it is for United to lose to 6 matches at home already this season? I am not sure. The fear the European teams showed them compared to how the English teams have no fear does not lead me to think foreign players go around asking players in England how a team is doing.

From what I hear even Atletico have a bit of fear about playing Milan, because they are playing Milan.

That being said United were never even close to being the most attractive place for footballers. They could get the best of the British talent, who rarely went abroad, but they could not attract foreign players better than Madrid, Barca, Inter, Milan and Juve. Now the Italian teams have fallen off, but Chelsea, City, PSG, Monaco and Bayern are all more attractive. It's not likely that in January they could compete with these clubs for a top player.

However, if they don't get top 4 and Rooney leaves then their problems increase exponentially.

i think united will struggle to get in the top 6 but i think i`ve said this before

Just had a saunter over to rag caff - problem with it is you go in get a brew and sit down and just eavesdrop on conversations and you never get chance to have a sip you are laughing so much

The imaginary £200m is spent already - its gone surprisingly far - a lot of quality players want to come and play mid table English football and presumably FFPR don't apply to the rags

If I am honest I think I may have said that I thought they would come fifth, but I secretly feared they would sneak fourth even a few weeks ago. Moyes has done much worse than I could have ever dreamed.

Also I think there is a difference between having one poor season and finishing 6th like Chelsea almost did the year they won the CL and actually dropping down to a club of that level like Newcastle did after being a top 4 club. Or say liverpool did as well, though they could be back. Moyes might is not only set to finish outside the top 4, but take them so far back that finishing in the top 4 would be incredibly difficult in the next couple of years.

"£200 million rescue kitty"

Comical Ali in Rag press office had too much red bull?

In fairness to Gollum he was left with a poisoned chalice by GPC. They need to replace so many players it isn't true. GPC has basically got the last final hurrah from most of their aged players and I don't see where the replacements are coming from without a huge kitty.

Top 4 Standard (being generous) - maybe 6, 3 of which are over 30

De Gea, Rafael (going forward anyway), Carrick (33 now?), Shrek, RVP & Vidic (if they can stay fit).
Pretty sure Vidic & Carrick are in the last years of their contracts soon also.

Squad Players - maybe 9 Top 4 squad players
Januzaj (until he gets more than 8 starts), Evans, Jones, Smalling, Nani, Hernandez, Kagawa, Cleverley & Fellaini

Too old or not good enough (was tempted to put Vidic in here after injuries) - around 9 not good enough for a Top 4 club (playing for Gollum anyway)
Anderson, Valencia, Evra, Giggs, Young, Welbeck (he's had his goals for the season), Ferdinand, Fabio, Fletcher (illness)

They have no RB or LB after Rafael/Evra apart from a relocated CB (or Fabio). Their CBs after Vidic are pretty much top 4 squad players in other teams They don't have a central midfielder apart from Carrick worth a bean. Their wingers are performing crap and the only thing keeping them in with a shout was RVP last year and Rooney this year so far.

Noises coming out that RVP is pissed off and Shrek is holding them to ransom on a new contract. Either they pay Shrek an absolute fortune which will get others clamouring for more wages or he'll walk on a free in 18 month's time - he can talk to other clubs in January 2015 which is only 4-5 months after the World Cup ends so you can guarantee he will be going balls out to impress to either get a new, huge contract or drum up interest for a free transfer on huge wages :)

They need a top class CB, LB, midfielder (1 or 2) & a winger. That lot will cost them maybe £120 - £150m to get to a 1st team squad of 20 which is pretty small although they could use some from my 'crap list' in easy games, maybe........

They'll still beat the crap teams and there is a chance of Top 4 because of that but they won't be able to get away with dicking all the low teams and holding an average record against the top 6 - too many losing games against the lower rated side which is normally their strength.

Will the gnomes sanction that sort of spending, I doubt it - this year is going to be fun to watch :)
