Today I heard The Times football writer (Saeed?) talking about the Rags. He believes that the GPC told the board and is still telling the board that there would be a transitional period but if they stick by Moyes like they stuck by him everything would be back to the glory days. Mention was then made about how it took GPC 3 years and it might take that again.

The problem with that theory is that when the GPC took over there was not the same amount of money swilling around, whether it is sponsorship, champs league or even megastore money. Now just one season without Europe could ruin them. 3 years could destroy them. No decent player is going to come without Champs league football which prolongs the financial problems. No player is going to come with Moyes in charge, (totally unproven at a high level,) and as the money dries up and the Glazers known reluctance to spend continues there is not much light at the end of the tunnel. If he fails this year to get fourth they have major problems.

Sorry I have to stop typing now as I am laughing so much.

Awwww that's devastating news not much light eh ? I'd say the tunnels fucking caved in myself but I'm not one to gloat..................................OH SORRY YES I AM !!!!!!! NOW BACK TO THE GLOATING HA HA HA HA LOL.

Paddy Power ‏@paddypower 7 Dec
Rumours abound that RVP could hand in a transfer request next week...#MUFC pic.twitter.com/z4BmcQDS3p

the only transfer he'll get is to a better hospital..

Who the fucks gonna buy Robin Van Sicknote he's no help to Bugeye McGinger or any fucker else lying on a physio's table USELESS TWAT !

You also have to look at Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool:
Haven't been a Champions League club since 2009, only bought 1 good player (Suarez) and been through 3 managers to try (and fail) to get them back, while wasting countless millions on average players. It's took them nearly 5 years to be took serious again and if they go on to finish 4th, they won't drop out.

Arsenal:
2 seasons in a row they looked like dropping out in place of Spurs, in the end got there both times. Fans and media slagged off Wenger royal and said they have no ambition, only cared about profits. Now they have made enough profit and paid the stadium off, they had a spare £40m to bring in Ozil and breathe new life into the club. Now top of the league, playing great football and possibly a couple of players away from challenging on all fronts again. The premier league trophy will be at the Emirates sooner rather than later.

What long term plan do United have like Arsenal or Liverpool?

It is so funny the rats running away, not interested anymore it's not the same, Haha.

One thought/question? if we see them miss out on CL and continue to struggle will that ultimately force the Glazers to look to offload their cash cow? The club is obviously not worth what it was once quoted so does that mean its not worth selling for a long while.

If they go like malc's NFL team then no-one will buy.

Moyes' big mistake was not keeping the GPC's coaching staff. At least for the first 12 months.

I'm sure this is a major factor. The hierarchy made a big mistake allowing it because Gollum and his own chosen ones aren't good enough to justify a clean sweep. Injuries to RVP and now Rooney haven't helped.

In reality he's a reasonable quality manager - not top drawer but better than the current fiasco suggests. You know what it's like sometimes: when things go wrong, everything goes wrong. They have lost any remaining aura of invincibility and other clubs are capitalising. The situation will probably stabilise before too long but they are rightly readjusting their expectations and know it will be a battle royal for 4th spot.

Yep thought it was ridiculous for the owners to allow him to bring in his own back room staff so soon. In business should you lose your most successful manager you don't let the new one sack all the management team and bring in his guys who have only ran a mediocre company for the last 10 years

When he's wanking in to Rooney's post match worn underwear, he needed people he can trust to clean up.
