How could they? If it's not a related party there's no rule against sponsors being stupid.
that's what I was thinking, that's not even their worst one.

It's definitely gone before UEFA along with the Etihad sponsorship deal.

Putting the related excuse to one side, it's obvious this sponsorship deal is ridiculous.(I sound like a Rag moaning about the Etihad sponsorship deal)

£150 million for pitches( a training ground) that aren't accessible to the media or the general public. How many times do you see Carrington in the media?
won't stop them using the money even if UEFA find against it, they'll just say they're using that money against non-footballing liablities (loan interest and share dividends) and that anything they spend on wages and transfers is from gate/tv/commercial income, thats what makes ffp so pathetic.

Is that the sound of a penny clattering to the floor I can hear?

The more I think about it, the more I think FFP is a ridiculous idea. Not now, not like this. Football was essentially a sport, it's essentially a business now. If it's a business, there's no reason why it should have constraints that other businesses don't have.

I've been a bit indecisive about this for a long time. I think my opinion swayed when I read that Chelsea were in favour of FFP and voted in favour of it's implementation in the Premier League. The pinnacle of hypocrisy. After they benefited from debt write-offs for years, and reached a self-sustaining level and realize it's more convenient that other clubs don't have the same privilege, making them paradoxically the single biggest benefactors of FFP rules.

better get the applause gif out now holic, they're never going to realise they benefited from exactly the same investments and debt write offs, no point in saving it.

But if they're not related parties under international accounting rules, they can't do anything and there's nothing to investigate. I don't see what there is to go before UEFA. The fair value rule isn't relevant unless they're related parties.

If Utd get there sponsorship deal passed then I would hope that a deal for our brand new complex would raise much more funding through sponsorship, what do you think ?

Related, international accounting rules or not, UEFA have called it in.

Obviously they'd like to know how and why United are Getting £150 million in sponsorship money for a training ground. It makes the infamous Real Madrid training ground sale to the Madrid Council look legit.

The thing is with our site is that there is a constant stream of people who pass it every day.there must be in excess of 50 k that pass.

Not sure of the numbers passing each day. Then you have to factor in matchday People, People attracted to the area via the proposed leisure destination and Etihad Campus, and exposure the training complex will get on televised match days, on the OS, and througout the media.

Just watching the highlights show here before our game, and you would think the scum battered them, not one shot of Swansea doing anything. Did Swansea not have 60+% possession ?
Anyway fuck them, C'mon City!!

That just reads like a generic response to a specific question - saying everything will be looked at, but not commenting specifically.

Sky are fucking revelling in the situation we've found ourselves in.

Smarmy fuckers.

After all the SKY wankfests they've had over the last twenty years

Go here

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.redcafe.net/threads/media-watch-piss-poor-punditry-to-the-rare-moments-of-reason.361860/page-7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.redcafe.net/threads/media-wa ... 860/page-7</a>

Rags against Chelsea is a win win win situation If chelsea win I don't mind because I hate the fuckers, if it is a draw both lose 2 points and if the rags win it helps us and dents chelsea s title hopes.

I'd like to see a draw. Only one point to the chavs so an extra 2 for us if/when we beat Cardiff and the rags scraping along in 7th, hopefully further away from the C/L places.
Happy days.

I'm sorry lads and lasses, can you really see that rag tag and bobtail outfit, even with the new superstar junkiejizz getting anything at Chelski. If they play like they did in the first half against Swanselona they will get mullered.

I want the scum to win.

Horrible as it might be, I don't want the regs to lose at the Bridge next week. Ugh. Might not watch it.
