i allways said they will chuck the game on wed a cup final with city will do them more harm than good and they really dont need a word audience in eating humble pie, watch this space

There is no way they will throw that game. They will have Rooney and Van Persie back and maybe another player and will fancy their chances.A derby game is a one off and can go either way in spite of form.We should know we beat them on the odd occasion when on paper they were light years away from us.It is also their only realistic chance of a trophy.

To be fair to Moyes, Ferguson did a poor job of building for the future. He gambled that players like Cleverley, Jones, Smalling etc would not only be the core of the England side for the next 10 years but that they would be top players as well. As it's turned out they're no where near good enough to replace the old guard of Neville, Scholes, Giggs and Beckham.

The signing of RVP was also incredibly selfish. United were only signing young players and had previously ruled out signing 'old' 30+ year olds. However, Ferguson was absolutely desperate to go out on top and threw all the money at him for one last hurrah, hoping he could get one season out of him being fit. The gamble paid off for Ferguson but now Moyes is having to put up with all the injuries.

Then you have the likes of Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra & Giggs who are all getting on and need replacing as well. The cost of replacing these older players, upgrading the crap English players and bringing in a new striker is gonna be absolutely huge.

All this isn't even including the whole Rooney affair that Ferguson left behind. For me, Ferguson failed to set United up for after his departure. He is mostly to blame for everything which is happening right now. I'm sure a world class manager would have United higher up but they'd still need to so a huge rebuilding job and they still wouldn't be near the title.

2 blokes are marooned on a desert island. They've been there for nigh on 3 years, and for the last couple of hundred days or so they've not even spoken. All day, every day, they just sit on the beach, staring out to sea, lost in their own thoughts dreaming of rescue.

Then one day 1 of them suddenly out of the blue says "united lost today".

Somewhat stunned and perplexed the 2nd one turns and says "how the fuck do you know that?"

First one replies "it's a weekend"

Coat....check. Hat .....check. TAXI !

Fucking hell they`re now worried about Newcastle.Straight from Rag Cafe :

I'm feeling confident about this. We're in the driving seat, and have played one hard team more than Newcastle.

Much depends on the FA Cup then. We need the 5 remaining top-6 clubs not to draw each other too early.

moyes: "if you don't know me by now"

Agreed, it's going to cost them >£150m easily and what people don't take into account is actually buying the right players. So far, if not actually wasted, then close to it over the last few seasons (since 2010-11) on the following players who either aren't CL quality or just can't function in their team. Not many are actually 'bad' players, apart from the honourable exception of Bebe, they're just not quality players.

Kagawa - £12m
Fellaini - £27.5m
Zaha - £15m
Buttner - £4m
Jones - £17m
Young - £17m
Smalling - £10m
Bebe - £7.5m (that star!)
Lindegaard - £3.5m

Almost £115m over 4 summer transfer windows. Of the 19 players (including kids) they've signed in that period I'd say only RVP, Chickpea and De Gea have been real success stories........ so 3 out of 19, pretty bad odds......

I know we've wasted a shitload of money but at least most of that was down to Hughes. We've got a few players who don't feature much on our books but the vast majority can come in and do a job in the team. Most of our mistakes since 2010-11 have at least got us a reasonable fee back even if we've lost money on them.

Just gets better and better on Rag Cafe : And some of you complain that he`s a Rag.The natives don`t think so.

Tyler having a sly dig: "we've seen lots of teams about seventh or eighth in the table come here to Stamford Bridge and put in a good account of themselves, but lose anyway."

If there is a fire sale of those players, I would get Kagawa for 7-8mil bargain. He was quite a player in Dortmund. How his career has been destroyed is beyond me. But would be surplus and fringe for our team with Silva, Nasri, Navas and Milner. any of those four is far better than the Kagawa now.
