The attacking of shirts at Wembley, leading to my decision not to take my son down Wembley Way.

Does anyone know which hotel it was Cantona and his mates stopped at, courtesy of the Munich Survivors?

I'm sure i saw a thread on here a couple of years ago naming the hotel where Cantona's mates stopped and the fact some of them stayed on for an extra couple of days after the Munich 40th anniversary match in August 98.
Anyone know how to find it? I've tried the search facility.

So I'm in a cafe with 3 strangers. Sharing a table they were chatting about last night's game.i reveal I'm a blue and was not too downhearted. Up pops the guy opposite, you won't like it but I'm a United fan in his best West Country accent. My reply was of course you are, you talk funny. He explained that living in Teignmouth there were no teams to follow close enough. Really? Which is further then Exeter City or Manchester United. ?

Not a peep.

I finished by saying I I'll say it for you. Wrong division.

I've just posted on another page about atmosphere.
I mentioned I have just been to Northampton with work in the hotel bar on sunday night lad behind the bar said do u follow football mate.
Yes I do mate I'm a city fan.
Oh are u do u go to the game.
Well yeah u asked if I follow football so I answered yes.
He said we'll I follow football but I don't go....
I said oh right let me guess who u follow do they play in red and there not very good ......
What a prick

I had a chat with a rag yesterday, started talking about barca probably gonna win blah blah, I asked are you watching the game? It's on ITV. She replied "oh I am a united fan, but I don't watch any football, I just look out for the results.
I just walked off. Silly woman

Wen I'm asked who I support, I just say "The Champions". When they ask if I go, I show them my Seasoncard. Generally shuts them up.

The day we beat the Rags in 2012 to go top, I was down in Newbury, picking up some train sets. (Yes, I know, but they cost the buyer over £300K! The biggest engine weighed over 400lb) One of the staff at the auction house asked who I supported, saying that he was, of course, a rag fan. Asked whether he went, he surprised me by saying that he had been once. Not to a match, of course, but on the ground tour and in the smegastore! He thought that the rags would win that night by playing attacking football.

Remind me, how many shots did they have that night?

David DeGea and Louis Van Gaal Do Not Talk Anymore

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly not spoken to David de Gea 'for months'.

Despite reports indicating the Spaniard was close to signing a new contract with United, Spanish sports daily AS claim De Gea is experiencing a 'poor relationship' with Van Gaal.

AS, often regarded as an unofficial Real Madrid mouthpiece to drum up interest in prospective players, state Champions League winners Real are in 'constant contact' with De Gea's agent, Jorge Mendes.

Mendes recently confirmed he was negotiating a new De Gea deal with United.

De Gea, arguably United's player of the season so far, is out of contract at United next year and supporters are desperate for him to sign an extension.

The 24-year-old is the only member of United's squad to have started every game under Van Gaal, despite former Barcelona 'keeper Victor Valdes arriving in January.

Despite pulling off some truly memorable saves in victories this term, Van Gaal recently denied De Gea had saved United points.

“I think he doesn't save many points because he is my goalkeeper and his obligation is to hold balls," the Dutchman said.

“And if you are thinking that is an exception for other goalkeepers and it is not like that, I am sorry for that.”
