Then they have that new guy who has never played for Spain, about 26 million who can play with 37 million Matta, 27 million fellani with 16 million carrick and 18 million Valencia along with 18 million Nani supplying the ammunition for 25 million RVP and 30 million Rooney. And that's just the current team. Oh and forgot about 15 million they wasted on Zaha. And yet we bought the league lol

Shows how desperate they have become in the space of 12 months. Put in a derisory bid for the best English left back last season, now spunking £30m on the second best (or third, if you count Cole). In a position where he isn't much of an upgrade on the incumbent (not yet anyway). Then a shed load on a bloke who can't get near the Spain squad. I'm not saying these are players who wouldn't be useful at City, but only as back-ups, and never at that money! Still, I expect they're getting all giddy on Rag Cafe.
Have to wonder why nobody else was in for these players at that money though.

Can the Fa/premier league bring in new rules saying you have to have at least 3 English players in your starting 11?

They can but their original squad restriction rule hasn't worked at all.

I may be wrong but I thought EU employment law didn't allow this.
