I know twitter isn't most reliable thing but there's a report coming from SKY Italia saying Van Gaal could leave by Friday due to boardroom incompetence, if there is one thing I could pray for after a win for us today would be this, I think OT would explode.

That would be fantastic and I wouldn't put it past Butthead if they don't manage to land any of his targets before the window closes. He knows his reputation will be soured if he's left with just the current crop to work with. Why bother taking the risk?

Because being a manager who turns up for a pre-season and fucks off when the transfer window closes barely a few weeks into the season would be rightly castrated as an absolute shit house? Even by his arrogant standards that would be impressive.

I think he's going to get a fairly easy ride. He's got a target of top 4 with no Europe to worry about. If he's half as good as he thinks he is even with that cobbled together lot that should be manageable. If not, throw your hands up and say the club is a fucking mess and leave when the season is through.

That would obviously be the main motivation to stay, but you can understand his frustration. Forget all the nonsense he spouted about wanting to see all the current players in action, there is no way he expected to go into the new season with just Herrera and Shaw signed up.

Someone is arsing this right up behind the scenes, just as they did at the start of Wee Davey's reign. He will have been assured of 5 or 6 new signings and if he doesn't get them he'll be extremely pissed off, and rightly so.

Hardly. They are seriously fucked if they don't make top 4 this season, major penalties on their debt mountain plus their major sponsorship deals will have reductions based on missing out on the chumps.

What's the worse case scenario for the glazers? They haven't put a penny of there own money into the club, took out loads and probably got I nice war chest of there own locked down where no one can touch it! So worse case scenario is the swamp has to be sold to pay the banks

It's very unlikely, I know, but not beyond the realms of possibility, particularly if promises that were made to him are not kept. If anyone's capable of that level of self interest, it's him.
